Heck, some of the first TV I watched was the old AWA with Vern Gagne, Mad Dog, Da Crusher, Baron V.R etc.

That was much more entertaining than the soft porn WWE we see today

I am college educated. I am married. I have a wonderful daughter. I am in management at a large metro newspaper. I have a nice place to live. But alas ... I am a HUGE wrestling fan. I watch EVERY TNA and WWE PPV. I watch every WWE and TNA television show. I consistently read wrestling news and I also follow a handful of independent circuits including ROH. Yes, I am a wrestling geek.
And yes .... I will shoot the shit about wrestling with pretty much anyone. This could be a good thread if people participate.

TNA is fun to watch..........well it's started to get a little harder since they started to sign every WWE cast off that is past their prime.
Guys like Joe make it still fun to watch wrestling.

Eh ... TNA is not "just" castoffs like it kind of gets labeled. Booker T. and Kurt Angle were not castoffs, but left to pursue other options. Of course Sting has never laid foot in a WWE ring (not many other stars of his caliber can say that) and major TNA players like Christian Cage show that sometimes WWE is just missing the boat (by the way ... he was offered a hefty contract to stay too, so he is not a castoff.)
The biggest problem with TNA is Don West as an announcer ... and a lack of credibility for their major players like Joe and Styles. Angle has brought a lot of credibility to them though ... and TNA will continue to climb here in the near future as Joe proudly carries the strap.
Keep you eye on this promotion. I do not think it will sit idly as an also ran for long. They have too much talent.

as stated earlier I have been a fan for a long time but pro wrestling is what it is. How can a fake sport driven by pre conceived story lines have credibility?

First I Love wrestling. Great entertainment which is what it is.

Second More people should check out TNA if they have not already. As far as guys past their prime, there are many active wrestlers that are in the WWE that are well past their prime. In fact the one that is the oldest just retired in Ric Flair.
But "older guys": if you look at the roster they have about the same amount. One reason that some of the guys like TNA better is the schedule is much lighter than WWE. The WWE guys are pretty much on the road 300 plus days a year. And as we have seen has taken its toll on many of them.

When it was just pure entertainment. ei: The Von Erich's, the Iron Shiek, George the Animal Steele, Man was that great. MMA is popular right now, but the "Sweet Science" (Boxing) is still tops for me. Thats me and my boy in the center, training at T-5 Boxing. Brady (my son) has his 1st amatuer bout coming up in October.
