Where could I get a Viking horn
My roommates and I were discussing how great it would be to have a viking horn to signal everyone in the house for various occasions, and it would never be a regrettable impulse buy due to my love of the Vikes. So, does anyone know how or where I could get one?

well you've posted it in the wrong forum.. however probably worth checking out somewhere like domeplus.com who do mail order - or even try the fan shop advertised on the left side of the web page here - they may have have them as well.

Re: Where could I get a Viking horn
First kill a cow and cut off it's horn, then follow the steps below. :)
Cow Horn Bugle:
Here is another documented instrument, although it was probably used more for signaling than for music. Prepare the horn as described in the article on horn in this issue. Saw off the sharp point of the horn and drill a hole from the end to the open portion of the horn (see Figure 9). The hole should be the same diameter as the mouthpiece pipe. Insert a metal trumpet mouthpiece and glue it in place .
You can make a natural mouthpiece IF you have a very thick cow horn. Saw off the tip of the horn until the flat edge is 1" in diameter. Drill a hole
in diameter and at least
deep in the end of the horn. Drill a
hole in the center of the
hole that reaches the interior of the horn. (See Figure 10)
To play: Hold the lips straight and tight and close together. Blow hard and the vibration of the lips in the small chamber of the mouthpiece will make the sound. (Buzz your lips.)

Not only can you use one of these beasts to blow out Viking victory notes, but you can also stop up the end and use them to drink mead.
Or use it in the reverse order, and let someone know it's time to get you more beer.
Here's a link to a site that sells them:http://www.warhorse.com/wassail.html
I'm sure there are more sites around if you google drinking/blowing horns.
Re: Where could I get a Viking horn
Got mine at the Vikings Locker room store at the MOA.
