Re: Where can I find stats?

Yeah, but I'm not ready to give up on him. I think it takes 3-4 years for a tackle to fully develop in the NFL and this will be his 4th full year in the league. Having Hutch next to him will also greatly improve his game, as will a healthy Birk.

When your OL is collapsing from the middle, as it did all last season, it's pretty hard to be effective at the tackle position. That being said, I seem to remember him grading out higher than his fellow linemen in virtually every game. Of course I can't prove that with any stats! :cussing:

The line collapsing would have nothing to do with him 10 yards from center looking at the DE laying on top of his QB.

I would not be surprised if he graded out better then any of our lineman. Then again being the shinest turd in a steaming pile only brings so much glory.

He is young, he is talented, if he gets his head in the right place and maybe an actual Offensive line coach, something he has missed the last few years he will be one of the best. Right now I'm not so sure.

I know I would take him over either of the Packers tackles though!

We definitely got into that a bit; I'm not sure that I can reasonably make the argument that McKinnie is currently better than Clifton, but I have argued that McKinnie will be a better pro over the course of his career. I definitely see Pro-Bowl appearances in McKinnie's future, while Clifton will never be more than a very solid player.

From looking around here a bit it seems most stats can be found up peoples asses.

I wouldn't suggest looking for them there though.
Is that not the truth ...
It is very easy to find reliable statistics all over the internet ... from ESPN.com to FoxSports.com to football-reference.com to NFL.com and yet people still come on here and just spout crap that simply is not true and expect idiot Google freaks like me not to call them out on it.

As for the offensive line stats ... it has become a Madden world and that is where you find those ... no real official stats have been kept for an extended period on that. Some teams keep their own and the NFL has tried in the last couple of years ... but because of the fact that so much goes into a sack (in the NFL in particular with so many schemes) and a guy simply faling down is not a pancake it is tough to keep these stats.

lol. Nice try but, unfortunately, no OL stats available. I'm starting to think that there just isn't a quick and easy way to evaluate and/or compare OL-men.

Give him this comparison, and then tell him enough said.

    2005 team records

    9 - 7 Vikings

    4 - 12 Puckers (cellar dwellars!)
What we've got here is failure to communicate.

Right. lol. You know those Pecker fans though. Every time you bring that up they start bloviating about their 12 world championships and the word choke seems to come up frequently.

Either way, I know our OL is going to be one of the best in the League this year, unlike their pathetic excuse for a line. I hope Favre returns, just so I can see him on his back, in the dirt, every Sunday.
