Video Playback Issues
This may not be the best place to ask, but I trust the guys on this community infinitely more than the ones I'm just creating accounts in to ask this.
So, I've been having video playback issues. I recently purchased myself a 24" Samsung HDTV w/ full 1080p. I use my friend's HDMI cable to hook up my laptop, to my TV, and watch HD movies I've acquired on the TV. Sounds pretty cool right? Well, the video freezes every couple of minutes. Usually it's a good distance apart, but sometimes it will occur 4-5 times per minute.
I took a screenshot, and in the Resource Monitor, you can see the CPU screen there's the numbers 1 and 2, as well as a letter P.
The 1 and 2 are where the video froze up. And the P is where I paused the video myself.

I think it's kind of unusual that it's a trough, not a peak where it freezes. I figured it was a processor spike, not the opposite.
I'm pretty confident I'm virus free, I ran a Norton scan before I got rid of it around a week ago. I ran an Avast scan two nights ago, and also ran Spybot. None of which found anything.
This issue still occurs when I shut down every big program, I close explorer(explorer.exe), desktop window manager(dwm.exe) and avast.
I'm using an HP Pavillion DV6000 with a 2.00ghz intel core 2 duo, 2gb RAM, and an nvidia geforce 8400m GS. So it shouldn't be a hardware issue.
Any clue on what could be causing this problem? And if you were curious, the movie is 3:10 to Yuma, don't tell me about it, I've only watched the first few minutes, then got fed up and posted this.
