    Technical computer question

I am running Firefox as my browser for the internet. I have Windows XP and can use Internet Explorer but I just prefer Firefox.
Here's the problem. When I try to play videos, like the ones from KSTP in Minneapolis and KEYC, I get a message sayig they won't play because Firefox doesn't have the Windows Media Player Active X.
Does someone know if that can be downloaded into Firefox or is there a program I can load into Firefix that will play them?
It's a pain in the rear to change browsers to see a video. My Firefox plays the rest beautifully.

The only one available I know if is this

    http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/plugin.htm

Make sure you know which version of Firefox you are running as you have to install the correct plugin for the browser.

Found this line on the page you recommended RK:
This plug-in is not part of the Mozilla distribution and even if it were it would be disabled by default.
So looks like that won't work. Thanks anyway.

Hmmm I think that means it won't run as default if you are using Mozilla as your operating system. However if you are using Windows I think you can try installing the Firefox plugins that are further down that page.

Guess I didn't read down far enough. Hummmmm, now I may have to hire a computer nerd to help me with this. None of my versions of Firefox or Mozilla match the numbers they have listed. My Firefox is 1.5.0.6

The easiest thing to do would be to update your firefox to one of the plugin numbers on the page.
