Sig Size

ok, i wanted to post in sig and avatar size rules thread but it is locked so im posting here. Unless im mistaken Bandwidth is measure by pic size (as in KB's) rather than Pixel Size. It is still nice to set the sig size to something reasonable, but the File size should have a limit also, that way we are both saving money, and allowing the Dial-upers to not have to cry themselves to sleep everynight due to not being allowed to see any of the brilliant sigs here on PP.O. I think a reasonable size would be something like 150KB depending on how many people are getting signatures on here. As more people get signatures, it could be lowered to 120KB or something like that.

Just an idea and i may be wrong on this. Im also hoping we could get the sig pixel size raised if im write... Maybe 500x180

The problem with the sig width is, it causes some members to have to right scroll to read the post. The words go right off the screen.

So, that is why webby came up with 400 x 150.

Ever since we asked many members to resize, webby has noticed a difference in bandwidth.

Your sig was 500 in width and your posts were off of my screen. The wider the sig, the wider the post.

hey ultra does that mean mine is a little too large? i've noticed that when my sig is up that the screen can be moved left and right. do i need to resize mine?

Yours is 400 x 150. Perfect.

My computer screen is set to 1024x768 & I use internet explorer. I have not seen an issue where anybody's sig was too large that it & the post didn't fit in my screen. My latest sig is exactly 400x150 &122KB.

oh yah i had a pretty good idea that my sig fit fine, my only concern was that when my sigs showed up on a topic, you could scroll left to right, or at least on my screen you can. :???: but if there is no complaints i'm definately glad about that.

Thats because 400 x 150 is right where it should be.

I know that Ultra. I saw the size requirements in "HELP". I was saying for those sigs that may be larger out there, I have had no problems seeing the entire sig. I've never had to scroll right or left.
