Thread: Sig restrictions

Only Sig that ever bothered me was that one Mike Willaims where I had to scroll right and left to read peoples post.

Same here! Right when I saw the title of this thread I thought of that cursed sig. I couldn't stand that sig, having to scroll to the right just to see the new posts and all the words on peoples posts. That thing was just rediculous, who was it that used that sig? I don't remember.

I think the restrictions should be:

1 image per sig
Sig image size must be 480x150 or below
300 letter charactor limit.

Many boards i post on have rules like this, the boards are easier to read, look better, ect.

My sig is the rule of thumb. Should not be much bigger, should only be one. 50K or less is preferable, but not a hard rule. 90% of everyone is okay, I tend to PM those who aren't when I have a chance.

That's cause the animated gifs have to load all the frames that are part of the animation. A number of the sites I've been to have a 50kb - 75kb size limit on the sigs. There aren't too many people that put much text in their sigs, so that's not usually much of a problem. I've never really thought yours was too big. This is coming from the guy who had a .gif for a month though, so I'm not sure if I'm be the best guy to be talking! I have a small monitor (laptop) and I dont really see a problem.

btw Josdin.. in ur sig where did you get ur font that says Josdin.

It's actually not a font. I got the 'o', 's', 'i', and 'n' from the "Minnesota Vikings" text you see on the left part of the sig. The 'J' I made from different parts of the 'V', and the 'd' was made from the 'i' and the 'o'. If I had a longer name, or had to make more than two letters, I probably would have scrapped that idea. That stuff was hard to get it looking right. Maybe someday, I'll figure out how to make fonts, but not right now.
