    Question

I have a question. How do you create a image (I think you call it a sig or an avatar) and get it to show under all of your posts? ops:
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Re: Question

I used Photoshop for mine. Remember avatars can only be 6k max. (and that is small) and 72 dpi is all you need for the web!
Illustrator, Indesign, Pagemaker, Quark, I think Paint Bucket which comes standard on most computers will work. Although that quality may be very low.

After I created it (the avatar or signature banner) I went and joined photobucket.com (it is free) And no it is not the same as Paint Bucket.

After photobucket was activated (through email verification)

I put my new created avatar and Signature files in a permennt folder on my computers hard drive(just to be safe)
    Then:
I opened up my new account at photobucket.com for the first time and simply uploaded the images onto their free website. By just linking to the files I created that are now saved an my hard drive.
Then you will find below each picture that you have uploaded, 3 different links to that image or images (depending on how many images you upload)

Simply copy and paste the "img" link info below the picture you wish to use as your avatar. (remember PurplePride has a 6k maximum size for avatars. (that is pretty small

Then go to "My Account" At Purple Pride (of course you must be logged in to access this info, so log in)

    After clicking "MyAccount"
Look to the left on the screen.
See that "My account Tools" menu?
    See "Personal"?
    Choose "My Avatar"
    In "My Avatar"
Simply paste the info you copied from your "PhotoBucket" ,"img" info below picture you want"
into the "upload avatar from url" line.

Save your changes and the site will let you know if it(the avatar) is too big.
Remember if you have tried to place another "avatar" you must delete it first before you copy the info in for the new one.

Hint: the photobucket.com site has a resizing feature for the files you have stored there. So if the "avatar" is rejected as too big, just resize it there.
It is much easier than resizing and uploading the original and going through all these steps again.

    Hope this helps
