carbon copy? That is a relic term left over from the old carbon-copy days. I think that is just if you want to send the document to another secondary person besides the primary person that you are sending the document to.

That is correct. The people listed under CC would be copied on the fax as well as the TO person.Quote:

Same as an email.
Ned, just use carrier pigeons.
I always thought that it ment courtesy copy??
Since Carbon Paper is nearly extinct, maybe the Courtesy Copy thing is the new PC term. But I think it is Carbon Copy.
It is "Carbon Copy".
Bcc is "Blind Carbon Copy". If an address is in the Bcc the recipient and the Cc people will not see it. You use it to cover your butt.
Cc kinda means that it is not directed at somebody, but you want them aware of it.
Got it?

So the PC term for Bcc is butt covering copy.Quote:

When I was a foreman and I had to report some things around the plant, I would email them to our production manager.
Our Vice President of Operations wanted to know everything that went on. So, I did not want our Production Manager feeling like I was putting him on the spot so I just would Bcc the VP in the emails.
Yeah, I guess its kinda sleazy but you got to look out for #1.
Corey Chavous!
