    mp3 help

    I'm retarded.
The songs will not play and it says I have to 'sychnronize to continue your music subscription' and the music is unavailable.
Have a current membership at rhapsody.
I initially put the songs on using my laptop and use three other computers.
I'm guessing that doesn't matter since I'm accessing a website to get the music.

So, anyone have a clue as to what I need to do to get this working?

    Thanks.

I'm not familiar with Rhapsody (I have an iPod/iPhone) but it sounds like you need to syncronize your player with whichever computer was used to establish the primary account.
I recommend you visit the website and check out the FAQs and tech support area for your problem.
If that doesn't work, Google the name of your player with the sync message and see what kind of hits you get.
    A
lot of user forums are out there.
    My 2 cents.
    Good luck.

Thanks PNW, I'll try doing it with the original computer.
I'm not understanding what it is though, I'm guessing it's some sort of way that keeps you from weaseling music.
I wonder if when you let your subscription run dry if you lose all the songs?

    Illegally downloading would be easier.

Are you using a Mac? There's a girl in our office who uses Rhapsody. She's never experienced what you did, but she only plays it on one computer at a time. She has problems downloading from her Mac, but not with her home PC. She suggests what PacNWVike says...call Tech Support. She also thinks that once your subscription expires, you will lose all the songs on your playlist (she burns her songs to save them). Don't know if that helps any.

    No, don't use Macs.

I still don't understand exactly how it all works.
I tried it with the laptop and it is apparently in synch now.
I signed up though using a different IP address with the laptop then it currently has.
    Strange stuff.
I will have to burn all this crap though, I don't like the idea of 'big brother' giving me permission to use the tunes when I paid for the service.
Then you get it taken away if you don't continue with the service?

Yes, it does, but neither of us will officially admit it.

Use limewire and be selective on your downloads.. only rip off the licensed ones.
