A little tech help please!

Does anyone know how to set up a static IP?
I tried www.portforward.com and i still have problems when i try to type in the given static, it says that it is not valid.

Call your ISP and see if they allow it.
Are you wanting to set it up to set up a server?
Some ISP's don't allow you to set up a server, so I would call them anonymously and ask

Real quick, I went to "profile info page" and have been trying to change my profile pic, the 1 that goes along with my posts. Hit browse and tried to add another pic. I get an error message saying pic took too long to load or is too large. However, it's the same as the one already showing. Even tried to do it thru photobucket. When I do that, I click the "change profile button" and then nothing happens. The button clicks, but absolutly nothing. Not even a hourglass. Any ideas?

Depending on when you previously uploaded this picture, the filesize restrictions may have been changed since then.

example:

February 1.
Uploaded a profile pic of 30k
February 2.
restriction changed to 20 k, but existing pics are ok
February 3.
Try to upload a the same pic of 30k, only to discover that i can not do so :O
must be resized.

there are many ways to resize your pic.
there is a thread in the Help Forum dedicated specifically for that, and some members here may do it for you if you ask politely.
