Thread: Hey Photoshop guru's. I need something verified. ASAP!

I'm about to buy something that doesn't have a certificate. The seller states the gloves were given to him by Smith after the Panthers - Bears playoff game as the team was getting on the bus.

Do what you can to narrow this down for me quick to see if it's legit. From the research I've done it's pretty damn close.

I've taken that game pic and blew it up by 700%. I only question the tip of the pinky.

I'm sure someone with more experience could verify it for sure.

Looks legit to me.. It's hard to tell, but you need to take into consideration who the source is... Looks like the real deal though, so buy with caution..

I have been a memorabilia collector for years.

Its a fact that 60-80% of items out there are fraudulant.

I would not advise buying them. Thats just me. You'll never have the complete satisfaction that they are the real deal.

Anybody can buy the same gloves, and a signature is easy to forge.

Yeah but if you have gloves from a game, especially with the tape pattern and writing as this one, it sounds legit. They have 100% feedback and are not a often seller.

I just ordered a Bo Jackson signed UNI from a reputable seller. Comes with cert and pic of when he signed.

it's a nice glove! i cant really say if it's legit without a higher resolution photo. i found the auction and the price is great. if a bidding war doesn't start and the price stays the same, i say buy

Ok, I am going to speak honestly here. There is no way I can prove I know what I am talking about. But, I am very knowledgable in this area.

Yes, it may be the real deal.

But, anything can be forged and faked. The certs are a joke. Most people who sell authentic items make their own certs. I could make one. And the picture of the athlete is not a sure thing. So, they have a photo of him signing 1 item. Then they go in their basement and make 100 more of the same thing and sell them on different sites and card shows.

Thats it. Just be careful. Best bet, if you want it wait for the athlete to be in your area and get it.

Just be ignorant and convince yourself that it is legitimate. Whether it is or is not will then become irrelevant. You can drink your beer and enjoy the gloves in peace. Hmmmmm....doooooonuts...
