Ned-my brother lives in the cities and fishes his butt off. Give me a bit of time and I will hook you up.

I'm seriously thinking about coming to Minny for some Ice Fishing...

Is there anyone here who could suggest a nice lodge or Bed and Breakfest type place that caters to Ice Fisherman?..

I might even try to make the trip for the Minny Chicago game..

I've always wanted to visit Minnesota, do some fishing, watch the Vikes at home, and visit that big mall you have..

I will more than likely be bringing my son with me also....

    Thanks for the help..

Hey Ned, come on up to The Brainerd Lakes Area! We have the largest charitable ice fishing contest on Gull Lake and you could stay at The Nordic Inn in Crosby and, if you're here long enough, go to Arctic Blast and meet some Viking greats!

    Fishing - Sat. Jan. 21, 2006 http://www.icefishing.org/

    Lodging - http://www.vikinginn.com/

Another lodging idea...Mille Lacs lake has hundreds of fish houses for rent. You can even get satalite tv in them!

Arctic Blast - Mille Lacs Lake- Mid Feb.

    Tommy Kramer

    Moe Williams

Carl Lee - Great guy! He sat and hung out with me and friends for a couple hours one year.

Others that have appeared...Daunte Culpepper, Randy Moss, Jim Marshall, Gary Anderson, Chris Doleman, Todd Bouman, Darrin Nelson, Jim Kleinsasser, and Viking Cheerleaders. I'm certain there are others, but I'm not aware of.

If you decide to come on up, give me a pm Ned. Maybe we can share some concrete stories.

I lived up there for 20 years and never went ice fishing. I heard some great stories. Seems like a lot of people went for the beer and Vikings game rather than fishing. Any truth to that?

Ned, I live two hours north of Minneapolis, sort of THE vacation area of the state.

Ultra, oh yeah there's truth to that. My brother built a fish house worth 5 grand last year with beds, heat, a crapper, sink, stereo, ect... this year he's adding the tv and satalite! So, yeah, Vikings games(playoffs) and Beer!

Question: Why do you need a crapper? Isn't there already a hole in the ice for that?
