I know that Ad-Aware isn't a virus scanner. I have Norton like I said earlier. I'm not completely computer dumb. I just don't know much about viruses and such. Thanks for the help though.

No it doesn't mean you have a virus. You should look at the log of what the cookies are next time you scan.. It could be that you have a dropper trojan on your machine that is connecting and exchanging info every time you log on to the internet. It depends on where the cookies are coming from. This site sets a cookie for instance but it is harmless. You should run spybot as well because it will find some things that ad-aware does not. If you are not sure just copy and paste the cookie log from ad-aware and I will take a look at it. I am pretty good at spotting a problem. :wink:

spybot search and destroy, or if your computer is really bad, save the files you want to a CD or external device such as a flash drive, and do a system recovery. spybot got the stuff off my comp. fine, give it a try
