Thread: Avatar Size

The limit is supposely 6KB. (which is rough to play with) I see several custom avatars around 200-300+. And they're not from the selection the site has.

Just a little request to open it up a bit.

Unless I'm missing a way around it. I've tried uploading, hosting, ect.

When we had our "old" site, there was a higher allowance for size.

When we switched over to this site, those came with and were not part of the 6 KB restriction; they are "grandfathered."

Best bet, just do a lot of searching. If you are good with any editing software you can reduce the size.

Maybe you should make Premium Memberships with the option? Easier way to make some money. I'd pay for it.

I think that with the old limits that some avatars were just way too big and really strectched the size of the page.

Plus, a lot had some .gif avatars and for those with dial-up and older PC's it really slowed them down.
