Stranded in Bakersfield

Just joined PP.O, hope to get plenty of news from the North Country.
Used to live in Bismarck, ND, was a season ticket holder until 2001 when I had to move out here to take care of family.
First year found it really strange, the have a high school team called the Vikings and their colors are green and gold.
Told the wife it's now wonder the kids out here are so screwed up.
That kind of thing could cause psycological damage to anyone.
Enjoy the site, will visit often.

I used to live in Ventura in the late 80s.
Never quite made it up to Bakersfield, though...the closest I got was Lancaster.

We have a sports bar here where we watch the Vikings every game day.
Twenty three big screen tvs but filled with Bears and Packers :P
There are several Vikings fans and every score we sing the Vikings fight song ;D ;D ;D
Drive the Bears crazy!!
