Thread: New Packer fan to trash!!

Hey there Viking fans.
I've lurked on this site for a loooooong time and finally decided to join in on some of the discussions going on.
Yes, I'm a die-hard Packer fan but I absolutely "love to hate" the Vikings.
I'm not on here to be a "rabble rouser" or tick anyone off as I'm sure has happened alot.
It frankly gets boring only posting with fellow Packer fans on Green Bay forums.
A little about me, I live in Melbourne, Florida and graduated from Marshall University in 2005.
Before anyone asks, yes I am upset that the Packers didn't get Randy Moss.

I think this is going to be an extremely exciting year in the NFC North, as the Bears look ready to take a step or two down.
If you guys can get consistently decent QB play, you will definitely be a factor.
Your O-line is solid (especially on the left side), your defense is lights-out, and your running game will just get better and better.
I'm not a big fan of T-Jack, your receivers, or coaching staff.
Childress always seemed to get too much credit in Philly when as the O-Coordinator I don't even think he made the calls!

Anyway, as you guys say SKOL, and good luck this season.. just try not to be too tough on the new guy!!!

What do you think the Packers chances are against the Chargers this weekend?

Welcome to the site.
ALways good to see fans from the other side.
I like your outlook on the Vikes.
I would only disagree with the WRs.
I think there is a lot of upside once they get into a rythem.
Ferguson is a bandaid for right now IMO.
TJack has a lot of upside to him.
He needs to grow and learn from his mistakes.
I think he will make a good NFL QB someday.

On the Pack side, the defense looks very strong.
I actually recommended FF players to think about them.
they are young, quick and strong.
I am also one of the people that say Favre does not have to rtetire.
the guy can still sling the ball better than 1/2 or more of the starting QBs now.
His only issue is he doesn't have quite the arm and he still tries to thread needles and that's what gets him in trouble.

Thanks for the responses.. vikingivan: To be honest I have absolutely no idea whats going to happen.
The past several years, we've been dominated by every "contender" we've played, it seems like.
I try not to drink the kool-aid too much, but I think we definitely have a chance.
We're kind of banged up right now with a lot of nagging injuries, but I think the result of the game comes down to one thing.. the offensive line.
If Brett has time to throw the ball and we at least have some semblence (spelling??) of a running game, then I say we're in it to win it.
The game could just as easily go the other way, the 3-4 defense could give our young team fits, and we could lose 35-10.
Regardless, I'll be watching the game on DirecTV and drinking a copious amount of Miller Lites!

I do think your WR's have a ton of upside.
I'm originally from South Carolina and a big fan of Sidney Rice.
The only problem is that WR's seem to have one of the longest learning curves in the NFL.
And considering how strong you guys are on other parts of the team, I'm sure its frustrating to see inconsistent play at WR and QB.
