Thread: Moss thoughts

Good afternoon everyone, I have been lurking for quite sometime and decided it was time to join in the fray. I am a long time fan and usually make it to at least one game at the dome in a season.
Looking at the Moss trade many people not in favor of the direction we took here says we better get a hell of a selection with the number 7 pick. One thing to consider we have probably seen Moss' better days behind us and future years are probably not going to be quite as colorful. He will have some good years but it you look at it we possibly will get another top quality athlete who is ready to contribute. Onward we go, skol

My biggest problem with the best years behind him arguement is that he is only 27-years-old. Moss is younger than Bruce, Harrison, Owens, Holt, etc. He still has a solid five to six unreal years in him. This trade is ridiculously lopsided. No receiver statistically is even close to Randy and we are hoping for a 21-year-old kid to fill his shoes? There is onl ONE Randy Moss and he should never have gotten out of Minnesota. That said, life goes on and we can only hope that the Vikings are really ready to spend, but anything we end up with, remember, we could have had that AND Randy Moss.
