It looks like a cold front will be coming through this weekend, like 10 to 20 degrees at tailgate time, which starts at 8'ish.Seeing that it will be almost 30 degrees cooler than here, I'm afraid of over/under dressing.
I don't want to freeze my hiney off during the tailgate but I don't want to be stuck wearing layers on inside the dome.
Some are there earlier to reserve the spot.
Definitely have 3 layers (including a hoody) plus a jacket...
You can take the hoody off at the game.
Wear plenty of PURPLE and you'll fit right in.

Thanks Cajunvike are you the one NordicNed warned me about.Welcome to the site, Jill....I'm also out-of-state...in northern Virginia, to be exact...which makes us practically neighbors.
Where exactly are you in the Washington 'burbs?
Rest assured...the PP.O faithful will take good care of both you and your hubby once you make it to the tailgate, so get ready to enjoy the full-on gameday experience!
We live in Odenton and work on Fort Meade. I hear there is a Northern Virginia Viking fan club that meets up to watch the game on Sundays.
We thought about checking it out. Do you know anything about it?

Good start up post. Welcome to PP.O, and be sure to enjoy the game on Sunday. I hope you get around to tailgating with the great people here from the site. I'm sure they'll welcome you with open arms.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

Welcome to the site Jill - you'll both have a blast here and at the game as well. The gang is a friendly bunch and you'll have a good time pre-game.
I love seeing the tailgate list go up but also get very envious knowing the fun I'm missing out on.
Oh and Cajun was the one Ned warned you about.... a female posts for the first time on the site and Cajun appears - what can I say
;D ;D ;D
Look forward to seeing your views on the Purple !Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

Also I would suggest bringing a trash/garbage bag with you to the dome. You and your husband can peel off the extra layers, place them in the bag & then stash the bag under your seat until after the game.

(P.S. BBQ Platypus remembers that playoff game.Official BBQ Platypus "Welcome to Insert Forum Name Here" Cookie-Cutter Form Letter:
Greetings, New Poster(s)!
As of now, my feelings toward you are completely neutral! May they remain neutral or better for many a month, before you say something that annoys me slightly until about a week later when I forget about it! Then, may they remain neutral again!
That's because BBQ Platypus was eight years old at the time, lying in bed in nauseated agony, and periodically running over to the toilet and puking out what little bile I hadn't puked out yet - it was mostly dry heaves.
The game was good, though - just not good enough to stop dry heaves.
Have a nice day).
