Thanks guys - Colorado is at least a civil place to be a man of the Purple - since they're cross conferences.
We're changing this place to Purple - one by one.

Only conflict we'll have is the December 30th game here at Invesco.
Since it's the end of the season - it could be a key game for either team.
Not even a sea of Bronco's faithful could keep me from rooting for my Vikes.
    Wassup brother???
Up here in Summit County I'm lucky enough to have found about 4 or 5 hard core Vikes fans that I've been watching pretty much every game with for around 10 years now, and about double that who come by whenever they can.
We used to drop about $50 each at the bar every week, but I finally anted up for the ticket last year!!
    WOOT!!
Now I just need a new TV

I lived in CO Springs my first few months in CO...that's not too far from Castle Rock, I think?
But anyway, there ended up being a MN sports bar across the street from our condo, way down on Academy, toward Fort Carson...Great owner from MN, free sloppy joes or something to eat at halftime, good beer prices, and a raffle for every Vikings score.
My roommate won once...he put the back of his head on the bar and the owner filled him up with tequila!!!
    HAR!!
A SEA OF PURPLE on Sundays! You might try to find that...?
If you happen to be up here, let me know!

Being out here for Elway's superbowl years was pure torture!!
I got so sick of all the headlines..."best RB ever, best QB ever, best team...blah, blah blah.
Then it got worse when DaKnee choked us out of playing them in the 98 superbowl!
    D'oh!!
However, over time, I've kind of come to adopt them as my second team, or AFC team if you prefer, due mostly to the number of friends I have who root for them.

VIKINGS WILL ALWAYS BE NO. 1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And that is who I'll be rooting for at the last game of the year!
    SKOL!!

You can take the boy out of the Purple Country, but you can never take the Purple out of the boy.

    Welcome Ryan.
Ok, I too was born in Sioux Falls, SD.
Moved to Sidney, NE in grade school and graduated high school there (many, many years ago).
Sidney is way west (in the panhandle) and is in Bronco's country, however, the Vikes are well received out there.
Growing up, the Vikes were the early game on CBS (11am Mountain time) and the Broncos were the late game...virtually every week.
My bro-in-law lives just outside of Castle Rock near Sedalia, and likes the Vikes too.
Beautiful area of the country; enjoy!

Be careful, I must warn you, the Broncos have great fans and they LOVE their team, in fact, they are much more positive about them than we tend to be about our Vikes.
The media is more positive (and competent) than Minneapolis'.
The fans love for the orange can be infectious, so, protect your children...they can't be wearing orange.
Broncos fans are not as obnoxious as Eagles, Jets, or Cowboys fans and will tolerate you wearing your purple game jersey without too much fuss.
Fun part is, the Vikes usually play very well against the Broncos and tend to win those games.
Also, going to a game at Mile High is a must do...obviously when the Vikes aren't playing at the same time.

    GO VIKES!!!

Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent

    I know.
It was hard for me to deal with it too.
But take solace in the idea that the Broncos had also been to the Superbowl a few times and came out losers.
They hadn't won one until then.
    So - there's hope.
I agree - I remember watching the playoffs that year and thinking - we're gonna play the Broncos - this is gonna be awesome. . . . . oh the let down. . . .

    GO VIKES!!!
Man I remember early days of my Vikings viewing.
It's not enough that when I was born my dad brought a Vikings helmet to the hospital.
I remember watching them since I can remember.
Joey Browner, Hassan Jones, even the dreaded Tommy Kramer era.
    Ahhh good memories though.

I've seen 2 games at Invesco Field.
I was lucky enough to watch the Broncos beat the Patriots in the divisional a few years back.
Be nice to see my boys playing in Bronco country.

Someone mentioned earlier about having 4 or 5 hardcore fans around them.
I'd love to check out places like Cadillac Jacks and all - but boy the luxury to have a couple of rabid fans in my own backyard to enjoy this beautiful 60" Sony tv with me
At least make my Bears neighbor feel nervous. . . . well he has his own problems with Rex - serves em right.

I have been living in Colorado for the past 9 years but missing Minnesota more and more everyday.

I was born actually in Sioux Falls, SD but graduated from Minnesota State - Mankato - so for a few years I was able to "hang out" with the team.

Anyone else who bleeds purple in the middle of Bronco country????
Would love to find some other folks to chat with about the Vikes.

Given I'm surrounded by a few Bears and Packers fans.

Anyone here planning on going to the December 30th game at Invesco Field?

    BTW - Packers still SUCK!!!

    Welcome, purple brother!

Post often and post well and you will do just fine here!

What's the forecast for snow out your way?
I'm ready to do some serious boarding this winter and am thinking about a trip out West!
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE
