    High pitched whine from Seattle

    Hello all – It’s a pleasure to join this great website! I’ve been reading the forums for a while and thought I’d throw my two cents in.

    I currently live in the Seattle area and have heard nothing but high-pitched whines coming from the Seattle media and Seattle fans. The Seahawk fans are like Cowboy fans; they only come out when their teams are doing well (closet fans). John Clayton from ESPN (ex-local columnist) did get on the local sports station (WKJR) and say the Vikings did a great job of hauling in Hutch. The Seahawks would not give him a long-term deal and Vikings stepped up to the plate.

    This should be a great year for the Vikes! Hopefully Childress will instill some discipline and make the players accountable for their position/actions. I like the recent additions and subtractions the team has made. They should have a great ground game. We may be lacking one or two more defensive players to dominate on both sides of the ball.

    GO VIKES!!

    Thanks! I went to the Vikes game a couple years ago and I would say 1/4 of the crowd had Vikings gear on. We are everywhere!!

    Welcome - and yes, this state has its fair weather fans, but many die-hards as well.

    This is pretty much where I get all my Vikes news.... Welcome to the site and enjoy.

    Welcome LTV!

    When I saw the title of this thread, I was expecting something more on this order;

    Alexander will not have the same MVP year without his big offensive line. I can't wait till the Vikings come to town. It's going to be a war.

    Growing up in St. Paul as a kid, you were either a Vikings fan or a traitor. This was back in the late 60's and early 70's. We used to wear tube socks with colored stripes on top. You couldn't wear any color but purple/gold. If you wore green, silver or brown you were a traitor and got picked on or beat up. We had no other fans but Viking fans on the East side of St. Paul.
