    Hello there!

Just wanted to say hello to my fellow Vikes fans.

My name is Mike and I've been a die hard NFL fan for over thirty years. I spent far too long rooting for the Oakland Raiders, with the Vikes as a secondary favorite, but finally got fed up with all the non-football nonsense that goes on in Oaktown and converted to a full time Vikings fan. It was pretty easy since my wife is also a long time die hard NFL fan and has bled purple & gold since she was a little girl.

I'm a writer, who contributes NFL articles to a football site, but I specialize in writing kids' books, comic books and various bits of journalism here and there.

We just recently moved (to for me, back for my wife) the Twin Cities and can't wait to get out to the Dome for a game.

I look forward to chatting about the Vikes with all of you.

To that end, how about that D-line in Indy? I've haven't seen Peyton Manning that rattled since his rookie year. LOL!

Sometimes the helmet is half full, sometimes half empty.

I'm so excited it almost hurts.

Yes, my wife is awesome. I'll get her to sign up, too. Shouldn't be hard since she loves talking & loves the Vikings.

Yes. Right before we moved I had to step down from a job as a Freshman D-Coordinator for a local High School (which was a dream job, really hurt having to quit) in Phoenix, so I LOVE watching good defense. And watching what they did to the Colts line was hilarious.

    Welcome Mike.
You picked a great time to become a Viking fan.
    It is the Vikes year.
Of course, most of us believe that every year.

Thanks! I shoulda dumped the Raiders years ago, but Chucky gave us that whole false hope thing before Al reinserted himself...

I told my wife the other day that I loved that I could root for a team where Football was actually the focus. It's like a breath of fresh air...

I can't recall a year when the team was so loaded. Even in '98 I don't think they had the sheer firepower they have now. If the signal caller & play calling upgrade from last year, I can't imagine how they couldn't win it all.
