Hello from Rochester MN

Hello -

Brand new poster, long time Vikes fan. I am figuring out what to do to be a member here, and slowwwwly figured out this is the place to start.

My name is HuffMental - I got that from Dave Huffman (RIP) who played C for the Vikings from 1979-1990. He was also a radio broadcaster for the Purple and worked with Jesse Ventura, who always called him "Huff Mental."

Anyway, always loved the guy and have been a Vikes fan since 1972 - age 5 - and come from a family that has rooted for the Purple since their inception. My dad and brothers were very pissed about Francis and later Joe Kapp leaving the team, but I figure if you can root for Gary Cuozzo, you must be a fan!

I frequently post on the Vikings Scout site (formerly Viking Update) and am impressed with the quality and intelligence on this board. I hope to be a positive conrtibutor.

As for the "mental" part, that is up to your discretion, I suppose....

Thanks all. Nice place ya got here. I love all the intelligent football talk and I really dig people's sigs! Little hobby of mine too. I make them from time to time.

I have a question - is it okay to post pics from time to time? Haven't seen many of those. I am working on a pic of me & JA parking the batmobile in the endzone at Lambeau and am wondering if that takes up too much space, for ex. Lots of tire marks on the field....
