Hello from Northern VA

Well this is it my friends. Another season that brought us to the wall and dumped us in the abyss of the NFC's pit of losers.

I have been a fan of the Vikes since 1971 when I commandeered a Vikes helmet from my younger brother's XMAS presents (he was 5 and didn't appreciate the power of the PPE at the time, he later became a Dolphins fan to punish me).

I saw the glory of the Purple People Eaters and fended off many school mates through my years growing up in Chicago only to endure so many close calls as we got to the threshhold (between the 70s and Moss years)
and gave it up in either the Superbowls or playoffs (70s, 98 & 2000).

I look forward to months of "rebuilding" and enlightening chats with you all.

To my fellow Northern VA Viking warriors I look forward to an opportunity to pillage and plunder many local sports bars together.

Thanks, I've actually watched the comms here for a few years with much interest (and alot of beer tears) and finally felt it was time to ante-up & kick in.

I know what it's like to be a Vikes fan in the sea of Redskins-mania there in NoVA.
I used to live in Ashburn and watched the games every Sunday at Kirkpatrick's in Ashburn Village.
