Eastern Washington vikings Fans?

Hi I am new here on the Purple Pride Boards. I am attending Gonzaga University and I am a big fan of the Vikings. Although I have never been to a game :cry: the Vikings are my team. I have a really stupid reason why I started liking the Vikes, so I won't embarass myself. I'm glad to be here.

I bet the reason my bro is a packer fan is worse.

One Christmas, my aunt sent me a winter hat that was purple and gold (she knew I liked the Vikings) and she got my little brother a green and yellow hat (he didn't have a favorite team) he asks: "what team is green?" and I said "the Jets are green" so he watches a few Jets games, and then one day the Jets played the packers and he goes: "Hey! the packers match both colors of my hat!"

that is how my lil bro became a fan of the packers :lol:

How I became a Vikings Fan.
For Christmas when I was in 8th grade Santa brought me a football video game. And at the time, I didn't really follow the NFL as much as I followed the college game. I honestly had no team. My mom is a packer fan and my dad is a bears fan (what a combo for a fan of the Vikes) so I wanted to play with either one of those teams. Well I played as the Pack and got destroyed by guess who ....the Vikings. Not only did I lose but Daunte threw for 350 yds and 4 TDs. Oops.....I re-evaulated my decision. From then on I played as the the Vikings. And gradually I followed them more and more until today when I sit in front of the computer in my #11 jersey and watch the gamecast on espn.com, because I all get on TV are Seahawk and Bronco games.
