Why Should I Watch The Lions Game?
I just don't feel drawn to watch this season final against Detroit Lions.
Neither teams have anything to play for. In case the Vikings win it's a good thing cause it's always a good thing when the Vikes win. In case the Lions win I wouldn't care so much cause I always feel sorry for the Lions.
It's true that the loser of this game will finish last in the division (unfair for the Vikings as they've has arguably the toughest schedule in the NFL) and the Lions could really need a confident boost in not finishing last in the division for once. That's how sorry I feel for the Lions. :(
Again, I just don't feel real excited to watch this game.

On the other hand, I honestly wasn't very excited for the game against the Eagles. We didn't have anything to play for and everyone, including me, thought they would destroy us, but I watched it anyway and I definitely never regretted it.
In addition, recent news says that Brett Favre won't play. That makes me want to watch the game more cause I'm interesting in watching Joe Webb's progress. More importantly, I can't bare watching the grandpa take more hits.

So what do you think? Is the Ford Field final worth watching?
Brett Favre sure seems excited (re-post)
EDIT: I live in Norway and it can be quite an hazel to watch the games.
Re: Why Should I Watch The Lions Game?
Because it's football, and it's the Vikings.....
Re: Why Should I Watch The Lions Game?
Thru week 16 the lions w/l percentage of opponents
.550
Vikes
.542
Re: Why Should I Watch The Lions Game?
QB play will be the biggest reason..it's either another chance to look at Joe Webb making exciting plays and trying to earn his chance a starting spot for next year, or Favre's career finale if he winds up playing.
If they're as pumped up for this game as they were for the Philly game, it will be fun to watch. If they revert back to the past few weeks where it seems like there's minimal effort, you won't be the only one changing the channel.

True. I think I will watch it, but I won't climb mountains to see it, if you know what I mean. ;)

If you need to look that hard for a reason that pretty much sums it up
Re: Why Should I Watch The Lions Game?
Seriously? I will ask the question...are you a Vikings fan?
If yes, that's why. If no, retire your jerseys.
Re: Why Should I Watch The Lions Game?
We watch, to stay true to our team. Yeah it's not always easy, and we have been alittle spoiled lately. Me, I'm watching just to see if Webb can play just as well as last week, there are a few things to look for, can Jared get to dbl digit sack numbers, will Adrian rip another 100+, can our defense be stout like last week against the Igglz, and because It's the last game of the season for my favorite team. PurplePride runs deep here.

For real...and it's the last Viking football game for 9 months.

I'm going to drive a half hour to get to a home with Sunday Ticket. And it never even crossed my mind to not watch Joe Webb beat down the Kitties...
