Need assistance!!! We are heading up to the monday night game but we want to keep it cheap....so we are going to stay by the mall. Anyone there know of a reasonable place to stay...that has a bar!! :-) More importantly...is the ride from Bloomington to the dome bad and is parking as bad as I hear at the stadium?? I have always stayed downtown and just walked to the game but everything is booked up or way over my budget!

I've stayed at the Super 8 about a mile from the mall. Price was in the mid $50's on Hotels.com.
No bar though. There are some close by like Sensor's.
Also I'd recommend taking the tram from the mall to the game. It drops you off right in fron & the cost is $3.50 a head.
I stay down at the Mall quite a bit for games, and take the light rail from the mall to the dome.
it is an easy 30 minute ride, and you are dropped off right at the dome.
As for hotels, I like the Country Inn and Suites.
They are reasonably priced and large rooms.
No bar, but it is directly across the street from the Mall, and there are plenty of places to catch a drink there.

Definetly take the light rail to the game, very crowded leaving though. When I went up for the Chargers game, we ended up taking a cab back from the dome, instead of trying to get on the light rail.
You guys for all your help!! The rail way looks like the way to go!!! $3.50 is cheaper then parking and the hassles of traffic! Anyone going to the game????

We're going to try and come up from Indy for the bears game.
My friend's parents live in Richfield (i think) so free room and board!!!
Came up last year for the Pats game (great trip, bad result) and had a blast.
if we come up i'll look to hook up with the PPO gang and tailgate.
