Re: Thank You Brad Childress
I thought the play calling was alot better yesterday.
If not for a couple of missed calls by the officials we could have easily won that game.
They might as well trash instant replay.
If a ref blows his whistle to early then a play is non-reviewable.
What a bunch of crap.
That was a catch and fumble that we would have returned for a touchdown.
Maybe we will start getting some calls going our way.
They say that over the course of the season the bad calls tend to even themselves out.
We have not had a call go our way yet.
I was on the fire Childress bandwagon, now I am not sure.
We are in every game.
We just don't have the offensive talent to win the close games.
Poor officiating makes it very tough to win the close ones.
I cannot blame Chilly for poor officiating.
If we can go 6-6 after the bye week I will be thrilled.

You folks that continue to berate Childress are amusing. Brad didn't over throw wide open recievers, Chiller didn't have a pre-snap penalty. I think his system is still coming along and is getting closer to smoothing out and finding a rhytm. Until we get to a "mid-season form" I will hold my judgement.
We better get into mid season form soon or we are going to be 1-8 really quick.

Whew, lot your were a loss.

How were the jello shooters?
Did they mix good with the Gumbo?
I can honestly say that that was the worst jello shooter of my entire jello shooter career.
No offense to NP, but the new recipe was not all that great.
I'd rather dig it out with my tongue.

Boo. ;D
Yeah, I tried a different recipe, and they didn't set as well, so they were slightly liquidy.
I am going to revert back to the old recipe for the next one.

You're calm in the storm is appreciated, but don't think that every anti-Childress comment is a reckless emotional reaction.
Yeah, Childress didn't do those things you mentioned, but he brought in and prepared the guys that did.
And while over throwing wide receivers is one thing, pre-snap penalties, poor clock managment (this time a wasted challenge=wasted time-out, among others), and missed blocking assignments speak to the preparation of the team by the coaching staff, not just the player's abilities.
That being said, I don't think we should fire Childress.
I think we wait it out and see what he can do.
Give the guy and the team a chance.
For crying out loud, it's only been four games in his second year.
If one of the three losses was a win, then people would think we were going to the playoffs instead of predicting a 1-15 finish.
We're a bounce off the goal post or an extra camera angle away from that being the case.
But if you're waiting for the Vikings to get into 'mid-season form,' then I would kindly suggest that you not get your hopes up.
'Mid-season form' did not work out so well for us last year.
I think that's a big problem with this coaching staff.
They have a way of getting mistakes exposed, rather than corrected.

Nope. Childress needs to be fired.
Please keep your unproven theories to yourself.
Childress will continue to prove me right by calling check-down plays when it's 3rd and 9... or taking AD out when we were in OT against the Lions.
::)
Re: Thank You Brad Childress
LOL @ people still thinking Childress is the problem.
Re: Thank You Brad Childress
sitting next to my siser-in-law before the game.
She was wearing her Favre jersey telling me how nervous she was about the game.
I told here I used to get that way.
Back in the days when I thought we had a chance to win.
Thanks Chilly for making Sundays less stressful.
Now, I can just watch the game and drink.

Thanks for the bland, uninformative, arrogant, pointless, and flat out laughable post.
Want to back it up?
Why wasn't Chilly calling offensive plays when he was in Philly? Please enlighten me... ::)

Someone else that had a bigger vote wanted to.
;D
Comeon my friend.
I gave you some very good stuff earlier with regard to play calling and production from both the passing and running.
You can't honestly tell me that you didn't see some improvement Sunday can you?
What does the guy have to do (besides win a few games
;D) to convince you that he is the right guy?
If nothing else, take a look at the teams attitude.
They haven't quit on him.
If that happens then I am off the Chiller bandwagon.
Until them I say, give him time to get this talented group up and running.
Bye week, gives him time to game plan, some key players can get healthy (anyone heard on Edwards status) and we will get one in the "W" column week 6.
;D
