Seahawks Fan Here...
I just wanted to drop a line and say that as a Seahawks fan I am very excited for this game.
It'll be very interesting to see Hutch's return and how he plays against his former family.
That whole poison pill situation this off-season was ugly, on both sides, but kudos to your front office for managing to secure the best guard (and one of the best linemen period) in the NFL.
Also, getting rid of Culpepper has proven to be a smart decision.
You guys are a legitimate team and I think it would be a mistake for us to over look you this upcoming Sunday.
Your front seven is vicious and I expect problems with pass protection for Hass this week.
Brad Johnson is a crafty veteran and given momentum and protection he has proven he can get the job done.
The jury is still out as to whether our main threat, Shaun Alexander, will be playing.
If he is, it'll be a difficult situation stopping both Alexander and our passing game.
If he does play, the key is shutting him down and making us a one dimensional team.
The Bears, though no Alexander, proved how to beat us.
If you can get pressure on Matt, you have a chance.
I don't know where our defense is just yet.
Obviously, our secondary is suspect and if we can't get pressure on Johnson, you'll be able to exploit it.
I don't expect Taylor to run for too much.
Even in our blow out in Chicago (oh how painful that was), we still played decent run defense and held Steven Jackson to 54 yards in St. Louis.
Johnson will have to bring his A-Game.
I suspect that he will, you've had two weeks off to prepare for this game.
Overall, I think we're just too much at home.
I foresee a Seahawk victory somewhere along the lines of 28-20.
Here's to an exciting, injury free game.
Good luck.

Re: Seahawks Fan Here...
Welcome to the board - we always appreciate an intelligent post from opposing teams.
Be sure to check out the look-alikes thread that is bound to pop up (it's a tradition here).
It's late so I won't be long winded, but best of luck injury-wise this week and we will chat more later.

Re: Seahawks Fan Here...
I second the welcome!
Sports would not exist without fans on both sides!
It should prove to be a good game!
Our hope is that the week off will allow time to put a great game plan together and sneak out of Seattle with a win!
We shall see!I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

Welcome to PP.O!
It's good to see opposing fans.
I would think that the Seattle fan base is a good group of people (unlike the Eagles or Giants) and I hope more of you guys come over.
Thanks for choosing PP.O!

We deserved the Burly pill that we got back.
While we could use the reviever currently
No hard feelings twards the hawks, or their fans.
It is just business.
SLargent1979 good post.
I agree with you that in order to shut down your team we need to put LOTS of pressure on Hassleback(sp??)
I personally think we can do it.
The the bears, for example, have put up HUGE scores and numbers against everyone they played, except us
We kept grossman on his toes and were in his face a lot, and at key times.
We also have only allowed 100+ yards rushing in 2 games.
By no means have we faced anyone like shawn, but he is banged up and has not had a stelar year so far.
I tthink our D will keep him in check and our fron 4 will give matt a run for his money.
I do wear pruple colored shades however
:P
Good luck and here is to a clean injury free game for both teams.

I've also been looking forward to this game.
Even if Alexander is out the Vikings will have to stop your formidable receiving corps.
The Vikings have yet to exploit anyone's defensive secondary and have had problems putting offensive TDs on the board.
This will be a good test for the Vikings.
Personally, I wish Alexander was back in the mix.
I would like to see how our D does stuffing him.
This will be a hard fought game and I agree the Vikings will need their A game to pull of a W.
