    Re: Scared of the Browns....

The only thing I fear about the Browns is the lookalike thread..............they got some scary lookin people on their roster.

Whomever the starter is on Sunday will be regretting it BIG time after one or two 3rd and long situations where EJ, JA, and the Williams Wall comes crashing down on him.

    Re: Scared of the Browns....

    Not scared at all.
I expect the Vikings to win and the Browns to be a mediocre to average team this year.

That being said, the NFL has a way of messing with your expectations.

If the Vikings turn the ball over too often or at the wrong times, it could very easily go south for them.
And who knows what Quinn and Braylon Edwards will look like this year?

As always it should be fun.
I'm looking forward to seeing how 69 does against Joe Thomas, how Sullivan handles Shaun Rodgers, and of course how all of the Vikings' stars and young guys do.
When the age of the Vikings came to a close, they must have sensed it. Probably, they gathered together one evening, slapped each other on the back and said, "Hey, good job." - Jack Handey [Deep Thoughts]

Braylon Edwards scares me a little, 1 year ago I thought he was the best in the league. Last year he had a bad case of the dropsies. I could totally see him having a huge day against our secondary.
If the Vikings think they will get an easy win they will probably lose. Everyone has high hopes for week 1, the Browns will come out swinging.

There are no gimmes in the NFL. I hope the team remembers how easy the Lions were for them last year.
What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

The only thing I fear about the game, is the Viking players having the same attitude as many of you do.
That this game is a gimme against an inferior team.

I never take any game for granted.
Vikes only won by 2pts and 4 pts against the Lions last year, the WORST team in NFL history.

    Scared? No
    Confident of a win? Never

We do have a tendancy to play down to the level of our competition, and in the NFL, it's any given Sunday. So if we play sound fundamental football...ie no turnovers, pre-snap penalties etc we should prevail. It's a good tune-up game.

IMO, the Vikes will surpass the Steelers in teams getting psyched up to beat them.

Every team will want to put a hole in the Favre balloon, so the Vikes better be ready for a fight every game.

    Re: Scared of the Browns....

I am always scared of next weeks opponent ( well maybe except for the Lions )

( I often feel that ) we tend to lose games against teams we should dominate all game.
Games you're supposed to win, but we make stupid mistakes and keep them in the game..
