Minnesota Vikings vs. Washington Redskins
Even though I know our season is essentially lost, I'm really excited for the game today! It's the Vikings' first game with a new head coach and it will be interesting to see how (or if) the team plays any differently.
Playbook: Vikings vs. Redskins
The Redskins has been awful against the run in their past games so I hope Lezlie and company plans to use Adrian Peterson more. He should have had much more carries than he has so far this season.
Adrian Peterson has not yet had a 30+ carry in a game so far this season.
Adrian has had five games with less than 20 carries, that's half of the games the Vikes have played.
I know Adrian is itching to get that ball!

Re: Minnesota Vikings vs. Washington Redskins
The Redskins are terrible in both pass & rush defense (bottom 6 in the league) so it shouldn't matter how we attack them up front. They are worse in pass defense than rush defense.
With Favre & the coaches tearing plays out of the playbook that don't work well or fail, that should've eliminated the passing plays were AD is expected to block, leaving more running plays for AD.
But with Favre getting what he wants, I expect him to want to pass more, leaving AD out & Gerhart in to block in certain pass plays. I think we'll still see Gerhart in there fullfilling the role C-Tay used to fill.
With that said, if we have success running the ball early, then AD will get 20-25 rushes.
If we have success passing the ball early, then AD will get shy of 20 rushes by a few.

Re: Minnesota Vikings vs. Washington Redskins
The Redskins have one of the best ball-hawks in DeAngelo Hall (6 INT's).
The Vikings have the "best" interception thrower in Brett Favre (17 INT's).
They Vikings have been haunted by turnovers and I say we keep it on the ground with AD who has not fumble the ball this season. On the other side, I just found out that their best safety, LaRon Landry, is out for this game, but I would like to see AD get his first 200 yards game this year.

It's all up to the Vikings offensive line. Vikings really needs to Run more and do more play action pass.

Re: Minnesota Vikings vs. Washington Redskins
Maybe it will all come down to something simple.
Grass. I hear they're playing on grass. Do the Vikings ever win on grass?
Will Peterson be falling every time he tries to cut??? Have the coaches COACHED him?
Grass.
Will the Vikings finally.....finally have the right shoes?
Other than that.....as if anything more couldn't go wrong.....our battered and broken Favre has the flu and a sinus infection.
Oh, they've shot him full of wonder drugs, sure, but......will this be a factor?
The good thing is that the Redskins seem to be as battered by injuries as the Vikings.
The Vikings are challenged to show that the problem was Childress and NOT them.
That could be the most important factor in a tough game. It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.

Vikings continue the slide. Calling it until they prove me wrong.
Now my 8-8 prediction this year I was ridiculed for is now proving to be purple-colored glasses optimism!

I don't think anyone has mentioned it--
The Redskins offensive line is pretty awful.
