Minnesota Vikings Vs Green Bay Packers
Minnesota Vikings Vs Green Bay Packers: Week 7 Preview of NFC North ShowdownAlthough early in the season, Minnesota must leave Green Bay, Wisconsin with a victory. They need to prove to themselves, and the rest of the league, just how serious they are.
Green Bay also needs to win on Sunday night at home in order to prove that they are not fading away to inferior opponents.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: Minnesota Vikings Vs Green Bay Packers
Laughable.Minnesota's offensive line hasn't been able to protect him the way they intended, but they're still a solid group.
Clearly a homer, this guy is out of touch with reality. Far from being a solid group, even the best of them are still stumbling around in a confused manner and the worst of them need guide dogs to help them locate somebody to block.
Worse, this guy fails to mention that the running backs almost never succeed in blocking on the pass rush. In missing that glaring problem, the writer is as blind as the people he's writing about.
The Vikings COULD beat the Packers, but it's highly unlikely.
Unlikely because the two simple things they need to do have been the two things they have been unable to do at all thus far.
To WIN they need to get a great pass rush on the Packer QB and provide great pass protection for Favre.
It all starts on the line. If both the offensive line and the defensive line can do their job, the Vikings could do well.
It would help a lot if Peterson is not limping and can have a good game (including the essential pass blocking that is part of his job).
Peterson is usually limping around because he runs brutal and stupid. Such brutal and stupid running backs are fun to watch but they have short careers because they get injured. We can only hope that he smartens up a little.....even a lot. It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.

Re: Minnesota Vikings Vs Green Bay Packers
Keep in mind, the Packers are playing even worse than we are now.
Even as we played vs. the Cowboys, we should beat them. We better beat them.

Marrdro can say what he wants about the CBs but truth is they did not get tested against the Cowboys. They had something like 3 passes over 15 yards. You better believe Rodgers is going to test them. I am not sure our O can keep up with him.

Re: Minnesota Vikings Vs Green Bay Packers
Cowboys missed TD chances by repeatedly running on third downs.
They got them, but if they'd have passed to our weakness they'd have won the game.
Green Bay is looking at the films right now.
Green Bay will exploit Shepherd and Allen.
Our pass rush better be spectacular or better. It's what you learn after you know it all that counts.

Meh, our pass defense is doing just fine. Currently ranked 6th in yards per game allowed. Number one in yards per pass attempt.Cowboys missed TD chances by repeatedly running on third downs.

If the packers want to give up on the run early I am just fine with that.
