Lions start 0-5?????
The Lions, much like the Vikes and Seahawks of last year, are many people's "surprise" pick for this year. The new "Sporting News Pro Football" magazine that I picked up last week has the Lions winning the North, with the Vikes finishing second. The Lions do have talent, and they could be a serious division contender for much of the year, but looking at their schedule for the beginning of this year, I could see them easily going 0-5, or maybe 1-4. Here's their first five games:
1. vs. Green Bay
2. at Chicago
3. at Tampa Bay
4. vs. Baltimore
5. vs. Carolina

It won't be easy for them, that's for sure. But they can beat the Packers and the Bears.

3-2
Losses to the Bucs and the Panthers.Obstacles are the things we see when we take our eyes off the goal.

I agree 3-2. Beat Packers, Bears and Tampa Bay. So they are 3-0 right out of the box.

Re: Lions start 0-5?????
The first two games against the Packers and Bears are a toss up. I could see them going 0-2 or 2-0. However, I really don't think they will win them both. The Tampa game is in Tampa, so they should win that. Baltimore will DOMINATE Joey Harrington and company. They won't put up more than 7-10 points on the Ravens, and not much will be different with the Panthers. While I think when I said 0-5 it may have been a little exaggerated, but I don't think by much.

Losses to the Bucs and the Panthers. The best part of my day is when I get down on my knees, with my head in my hands, and thank GOD for everything he has given me.

Yes... That's my upset pick.
Seems like I did a good job.Obstacles are the things we see when we take our eyes off the goal.
