You have a problem with the site pm the webmaster or a mod. I received your report and it will be reviewed. If you want to clump over 6,000 members into your bad experience with 3 or 4 then you should indeed take your own advice and find yourself another site.

Especially when the majority of responses to your post have been welcoming and insightful. Trust me when I say you are doing no one any favors by sticking around if you feel the need to ignore the insightful posts by the majority and focus on the flames of a few and judge the site as such. There are even members who have stood up for you in this very thread.

    Sounds fair to me.
I'll go elsewhere from now on.

And yes, I'm very grateful to those members who did stand up for me.
But I didn't expect them to. They shouldn't have had to.
I expected that a site moderator would put a stop to the idiocy.
    That never happened.

As you yourself admit, I did PM the moderator.
    You didn't respond.
    You could have.

    So I defended myself.

My impression of your website is what it is, as they say.
    Sorry you don't like it.

Good luck to the Vikings on Monday.
Here's hoping it's a good, competitive game and that no one is injured.

I really think you should reconsider.

This is a forum where you should expect some kind of friendly banter. And if some of the guys went out of line, I'm sure our mods will look into it, even though it might not be done within a few hours.

Otherwise I've noticed that you're good at sticking up for yourself.

I'm sure you'll prove an asset to the site if you stick around. Also I think you'll realise that people are not that bad around here, and you'll have a good time yourself for sure.

Thanks to PPE for the sig.

    I got the report.
    I milled through the posts.
I dunno, can go either way.
I think some may have jumped at the whole "Troll" thingy in the title.
It's like putting an American flag on your back and walking through Tehren, Iran.

    It's all good.
    Stay.
You seem intelligent and pretty witty.

Sounds fair to me as well.

You didnt PM a mod, you reported, and it goes to an e-mail and needs to be reviewed.

I really don't care what you think of the site, I simply said if you feel that way you know where the door is.

Good luck to the Pats, we all know at least I hope we all know it has the potential to be one heck of a game. We can all crunch the numbers, we can claim who is what and who isn't but at the end of the day it means nothing. Football is the greatest sport ever
;D anyone can win and anything can happen.

Here's to an injury free game.

I really enjoyed reading her posts (the football related ones) and think she would have been a great member.
Its too bad that she has been scared off.
Stating she was a troll probably wasn't the best idea, but I'm thinking it was an attempt at humor.
I hope you come back cuz your a witty person with good football insight.
Without reading every post on here, I hope you got your questions answered regarding our DEs.
Come back and give the site another chance!

Well, this isn't a referendum on this site especially based upon Alice's opinions who seems to think her passive aggressive stances pass for mature banter.
I think PPE called her out appropriately on it.

You call yourself a troll, and some people will go at it that way.
I think over this thread people may or may not think differently.

Generally, Cajun is the first to welcome people and engage them in either football or random fun.
Noone can tell his secret formula.
Alice chose to engage him rather than stick to the facts and made disparaging remarks in the first place.

So for those who like to cowtow to the single voice in the wind, remember, this is our home and people need to be respectful to get invited into our family.
    Or something similar.

Can we stop this silly thread?
A troll comes in with pseudo intellect and then posts opinions without a single fact backing her and when unhappy with dissenting opinions she strikes out??

    Vikes over Pats.
By a field goal, unless our D doesn't score any huge game changing plays.
    Then we might have trouble.
Two good teams...noone here is a slouch.

Gotta disagree Webby....she certainly articulated her points well and mentioned her opinion on Pat Williams was based on the Buffalo days. People shouldn't be jackasses when someone doesn't agree. I absolutely didn't take her posts to be trolling.
This thread seemed like vikesboard.net for a second there.

Rastak, you are pretty much right, I think she was piled on a little too much, and that's not how this board usually works.....but I think were some of the melee started is with Cajun and others then joining the fray.
Make sure you re-read her deviations into momma's boy BS before any medals are awarded.

She was nice enough, but not enough that she is above the stink.
She can stick around, that would be really great.

    Not a big deal.
Nothing that was said was anything more, really, than a bunch of friendly smack at first.

    Cripes.

I see that Pat Williams is a starter at DT, and I knew Williams from his Buffalo days.
    Williams doesn't particularly scare me.

    You should rethink that statement.
PAt Williams is probably top 3 in the league for run stopping.
He takes up so much room and is a beast.
    That's a fact!

    Woah.
    You're touchy.

    How is that a fact?
Top 3 in the league in run-stopping based on what?

As I said, I saw Williams play quite a bit over the past few years.
He played on a good/not great Buffalo D line.
The Patriots had no problem running right through them with...uh...Antowain Smith.
    (Sp?)

So, I'm sorry, but I'm still not especially asceered of Pat Williams.
Then again, I don't personally have to run against him.
That doesn't mean that I'm denigrating the overall D line.

What exactly constitutes a good run stuffing DT for you?
In case you didnt know, the Vikings are currently ranked 2nd in the NFL in rushing defense, which is anchored by Pat Williams.

Allright, so Pat isnt considered a top run stuffing in your book.
Thats fine, but back it up.
List 5 DTs that are better run stuffers- I'll get u started.

    1.Casey Hampton
My original argument about Pat Williams had nothing to do with his identity as a "run stuffer."
It's on the general quality of his play as a lineman.

And yes, I've heard many times that the Vikings are currently ranked 2nd in the NFL in rushing defense.

My point wasn't about your overall line.
It was about Pat Williams, specifically.
When Williams went to Minnesota from Buffalo, it's not as if Patriots fans breathed a collective sigh of relief and said, "Whew...thank GOD we don't have to face PAT WILLIAMS Anymore!!!
    Oh, the horror!
We could never handle playing against Williams!!!"

At least not that I recall.

This said, you asked me for some names of DTs that I think are better run stuffers.
Sorry, but I'll have to give names of DTs I think are just flat out BETTER than Williams.

Not necessarily in order, I'd go with...

    Vince Wilfork (New England)

    Richard Seymour (New England).
(Some think of Seymour as an end, but he plays mostly in the 3-4, so he's really an interior lineman.)

    Tommie Harris (Chicago)

    Shaun Rogers (Detroit)

    Jamal Williams (San Diego)

    Marcus Stroud (Jacksonville)

Please remember this as you fawn all over Williams:
the Pats' young DTs have a history of playing (and succeeding) at a much higher level of competition than Williams has ever played at.
More to the point, a number of our O-Linemen have also played (and succeeded) at far higher levels than Williams.
Our Center, Dan Koppen, our LT (Matt Light) and Stephen Neal, Guard, were all key parts of the Patriots championship seasons.
By the way, these players are also a good deal younger than Pat Williams.
So, pardon me if I expect that it's unlikely that they'll be intimidated or overwhelmed by the
competition and that they'll probably be able to acquit themselves admirably.

This isn't to say the Pats will win.
But to imagine that they'll be manhandled by the Vikings far superior forces is maybe a bit of wishful thinking.

While I'll certainly give you that it should be a tough, competitive game, and I'm not making any ridiculous predictions, please forgive me if I don't fall all over myself over Pat Williams.
This is to you, Rastak....before you go and decide who is innocent and who is guilty, read the entire exchange BEFORE I got involved.
Alice, while making some decent points, wasn't exactly blameless in slinging mud here.
I personally didn't take offense, but I picked up on the tone of her posts...knowledgable but agressive.
    I just responded in kind.
I apologize if it got out of hand...but if you read the exchanges between us, I just kept giving her enough rope to hang herself once she got started...and she took it.
BANNED OR DEAD...I'LL TAKE EITHER ONE
