Startin to get excited about the game Monday, as the weekend creeps in.

Generally not in the Twin Cities area, it's pretty diverse but not noticably Scandinavian, at least not by accent.
Down on da farm doh dere's a whole lota dem dere Svedes and Norvegians, ya-a-ah.

I was just on a business trip up north in Crookston, MN.
The place I was working at was ran by three skandis
We nick-named them Ole, Sven, and Lena.
They totally had the accent!
It was great.
Very nice, polite, and friently people though.

I've lived in Minnesota most of my life & have yet to here a Scandanavian accent. Especially like the one they portrayed in "Fargo". You might find certain sections of the state that are rich in their heritage & speak with the accent, but it is far from the norm.

From Bemidji, MN - and I must say - the women have a much worse accent than the men up here.
However,
every time I travel to another region I catch a hard time about my accent so maybe I'm just too used to it.

The accent does exist in here in North Dakota, but not nearly to the extent that it did in the movie "Fargo".
I catch myself saying Oh Yeah and uf-da sometimes.

When I lived in the Twin Cities I never heard an accent.

Born and raised in Grand Rapids and Northome MN.
When I enlisted in the service I was pretty much ragged on for saying like the following:

You Betcha
Hotdish
PoP
Lutefisk
Polka
How I said Boat
Oofda

Even now (been gone 25 years or so) I still get asked if I am from Mn/Wi and when family visit I can pick up the accent but in no way is it as bad as how it was depicted in Fargo.

I LOVE the cash call clips.
KQ plays them from time to time in the cities.

As far as hearing the Fargo style accent, I have.
My Grandmother is really bad.
She turns everything into a hotdish, loves to make lutifisk (it is actully really good if you can get past the smell), lefsa *drool*, and ends every sentance with yaa, or you betcha.

As a joke I tought my son to say you betcha,
it goes over really well at familly gatherings.
Everyone loves it.

Back when I lived in Minneapolis I had the accent to an extent. You don't notice it when you're there because it becomes part of regular every day speak. Like people from minnesota probably notice southern accents easily. When I go back to minnesota I really notice it.. sometimes I pick up on it too. it's weird.
