Going to Vikings vs Lions,need advice

I just bought tickets to the Lions game and the Packers game.
Being from southern OKlahoma I have never been to the metrodome.
Any advice for a first timer?
How about parking passes?

We have been cheering for the Vikings for over 30 years!
Where is the PPO tailgate party? Gotta meet some folks on here.

Its in the tailgate lot, right by Gate G? and the Tram station. Sorry I know where it is, but not good at explaining it.
Look for the PPO Banner. Singer, Webby, Shock or Zeus will probably be able to tell you the exact location and be better with directions then me.

Where re you staying?

Of course there is the MOA. You can take the tram from DT Mpls all the way to the MOA. But it also depends upon what
to do for fun. The MOA is probably a day all in itself.
Are you coming by yourself? Significant Other? Kids ect? that can also determine where the better places are to go

The wife and I.
No idea where we are staying.Will have to plan that out on the drive in the morning.
We were looking for Packer tickets and just bought the Lions tickets on impulse about an hour ago.
Its over 900 miles up there so we may just sleep in Iowa and arrive in Minneapolis about 8am Sunday morning.

We are in the parking lot kitty corner from gate H, across from where the tram stops. Look for the PP.O Banner. We should be close to that nearest corner in Purple tailgate lot #1.

Park somewhere else & walk to the tailgate. There are many ramps & lots (mostly non-tailgating) to choose from.

What direction (where) are you coming from?

Jon, you and your wife are the ultimate fans.

You'll have fun tailgating with other PP.Oer's.
If you're coming from Iowa Sunday morning you may want to just park at the Mall Of America and take the light rail in.
No worries about parking then.
Just walk, you and your beer, to the PP.O tailgate spot which is right at the Metrodome stop.
