Is it Classless for Packers Fans to wish Injury on Favre?

This afternoon, Milwaukee Sports radio station WSSP AM 1250 afternoon "The Big Show" show hosts, Ex-Packer Gary Ellerson and Josh Vernier did a whole one hour bit on how they hope the Packers somehow hurt Favre, and whether or not it's classless for Packer fans to cheer for this.

They built their case for Injuring Favre around all of the "Wrong" that Favre had done to the Green Bay fans and organization, all this discussed as Ellerson and Vernier laughed on air while discussing the various ways that the Packers defense could, and should "Put Favre Out".

They even "jokingly" mentioned compound fractures, concussions, and even going as far toying with the prospects of spine boards and paralysis

Does anybody here agree with "The Big Show"?

If Allen has a chance to crippled Rodgers should he take it?

I was in a bar for the Lions game and some idiot Packers fans were shouting for the Lions to injure him. What a bunch of tools. After that comment, Favre threw a TD. Keep them coming sheep fuckers, I like Brett Favre TDs.

Man, I wouldn't want to wish injuries on him, despite not being too happy with his recent decisions.

That said, I do hope that he'll throw 4 Ints. Go Favre.

It is classless to wish injury on anyone in the NFL not matter how much you may hate him.

I imagine the people who wish injury on another human being for the sake of "revenge" in any football game are the same people who put way too much stock in the game and have their lives dramatically altered on the outcome of the games.

Sorry to anyone who is one of those people.

    Is it classless?
    Absolutely.

    Have I done it before?
Not really, unless we're talking Brett Favre, in which case I probably have at some point over the years.
I was younger and much less classy then though.

And here I thought that to go along with the purple jersey and pink cleats that Brett will be wearing that 'ol Polar was coming in here to be a semi-peacekeeper by posting that thread about predictions. I thought for a little while that hell had in fact froze over.
    LOL

No, I would not begin to defend the kind of sentiment that would want someone injured.
I did think that Jared Allen came very close with some of his pronouncements and subsequent conduct on the field, but that is a whole other argument that we have already had.

Here is what I replied to Mr. pot-stirrer Grizz:

I want him to eat sod. I want him on his back. I want to see him shaking his head in wonderment at the absolute snotclobbering he is absorbing.

    Hurt?

    Hurting...Damn straight.

    Injured?

    Not in a million years.

Injury is a strong word, but it is football. I hope the Vikings continually hit the Packers hard, if that leads to injury so be it, it's a violent sport. If giving rodgers a concussion in the first quarter helps us win, then so be it. I'm obviously not talking about cheating or cheap shots, just good smash mouth football.

Thats pretty much what I was going to say.
Of course its classless, have I gone down that road though?
    Of course I have.

Injuries are part of the game... I hope they never happen to us, but it won't make me sad if it happens to the other team.
