I'm glad I decided to go to the game in Minnesota this week, instead of the Cinci game, now. I tend to have a short temper, and a false sense of indestructability, especially when I'm frustrated.

The Bengal fans sound like a close second to the Bears fans. At least you weren't spit on as well.

    Another great sig by PPE!

Animal and I were supposed to go, but did not work out.

I know how fired-up we both can get and we would've taken a few of them bastages down before being overwhelmed.

In all, it was the minority I am sure. I harbor no ill-will towards their fans. Now Browns fans...they are crazy butts!
Browns fans aren't that bad, I've been to games and seen opposing fans actually in the dawg pound and I'm sure there was some light trash talking, but they weren't being pushed around or having beer spilled on them. Steeler fans, on the other hand, from what I've seen, will not hesitate to jump someone simply because they're wearing a jersey of the opposing team.
I was there for 2 Steelers games, and others. They can get downright hostile. What about the fan that was killed when they tossed him in front of the train?

I never heard about that, but that's one of the many reasons I hate the Steelers just as much as I hate the Packers. I've got some friends around here that are Browns fans, that were trying to go to a the Browns/Steelers game in Pittsburgh and were going to get painted up as G-O-B-R-O-W-N-S. I'd want at least, probably a lot more people than that there with me if I were going to that game. I wouldn't feel safe otherwise.

I was at the game also and posted my interactions in my "the pain....the humiliation...." thread. I must also agree that I have been to alot of games at other peoples parks and never saw it as bad as in Cinci. You know, your drillin us...I give you that but why make it a personal thing..I paid my money, I know we're sucking, I don't need some jerkoff screaming stuff at me from 4 rows back. When i asked him to come down and talk about it he turned and looked back like he didn't know I was talking to him. I also have had enough of the "who dey", I can tolerate all that, but the Bengals corners crossing the field and taunting our bench after the second to last interception was the worst. Pretty F-In classless showing as a whole. Apology up your holes.....

Summary of stories I have heard from other boards and friends that were at the game.

Someone that went to the game was saying a fan spit on his son and kept thowing food at him at the game.

Another guy said his wife left the stadium crying becasue of some jackass sitting behind them. He said that a couple fans ran up to him and appologized for the behavior so at least not all of them are bad.

Another guy said he was watching the game and a guy sitting a few rows ahead of him had his kids there and a group of fans behind him were cursing and dropping the Fbomb every other word. So the guy in front of him with the kids asked them to stopping yelling curse words because his kids were right there. The group behind him started yelling at him and screamed F your kids and then harrassed him so bad he had to leave the game by the 3rd quarter.

Another guy was followed out of the building by a group of fans that were giving him hell for being a vikings fan.

One guy left his seat to get some food, when he came back a guy that was sitting behind him was spitting on his seat. He got the security guards, but they didnt do anything but give him a napkin to clean off his seat.

Heard lots about food tossing, pushing, and verbal abuse.

i know chicago isnt the nicest place to catch a game, but I think cin city beats them out.

Wow, I posted my apology and am told to do what with it? This is starting to sound like sour grapes now. I can see getting upset about beer and food being thrown, but Who-Dey chants? Sorry, but no fans in the league are going to stop chanting and cheering out of pity for the opposition fans. Ribbing is a part of the game. If you can't take fans celebrating a victory I suggest you find another sport. Perhaps curling.

I was at the Falcons V. Panthers game during the bye week (thought it would be a good game... went with friends.. WRONG). Well anyways... I was wearing my viking jersey with pride and while I was walking out of the stadium a falcons fan threw a whole beer into the crowd of us and said "panthers suck" or something. I couldn't understand because none of us had panthers garb on and I was wearing a vikings jersey. The guy was clearly drunk and you can't do anything about those fans... although "Who-Dey" is pretty annoying and stupid.

    Re: Bengals Fans

wow, i was over at my own for and a thread was started about your thread here, here is the link if you care: go-bengals.com so i came over to send some apologetic words, yet after reading this whole thread it the seems most here are more downtrotten about losing than actually having been there themselves, i guess NO ONE saw the vikings fans with the horn helmets on running around our stadium cursing and running with thier heads down as to stab bengals fans walking by, perhaps no one saw the group of three utterly intoxicated vikes fans who were too concerned with double fisting beers and screaming obcenities at a 14-16 yr old girl in a bengals jersey and a skirt to stop before they ran into, knocked over, and made a 3-5 yr old buy cry, not stopping to say sorry or see if he was ok but walking off faster as to not get security involved, talk about class shall we?

player taunting? never seen an nfl game i assume, as if our players havent endured taunting from every other team for years, but when we get cocky we are classless players? this coming from a group of fans who had randy moss on thier team. wow i say..you have to be kidding?

i have been to cleveland, pitt, baltimore, tennessee, indy, chicago, of course cincy, and the only nicer fans than i have seen in cincy if the titans fans, they were great, i have had my life threatened, half full cups of beer and pop, have eaten hamburgers or hot dogs all thrown at me, bottle caps, empty bottles, peanuts, i have had children on thier dads shoulder flip me off and say "the bengald f**king suck!"

i have walked through many of teh parking lots around the stadium and seen many fans from other teams get a good ribbing, mostly boo's, nothing ever serious, so if you experienced worse, then you either parked in the wrong place or are an exception.

while we are on the topic of classlessness, i love how cincinnati record over 3 years ago and a decade back makes you feel better about us romping your team, we havent had a losing season since 2002, before our new head coach and changes in the front office, since then there has been an overhaul of the organization and lots of success and great moments for the city and its fans, we beat the undefeated cheifs in 2003, we loved it, then we beat the ravens at thier house in a 24 point 4th qtr last year, also agreat accomplishment for the team, and so far we are undefeated, so go ahead and keep living in our past, we are enjoying what this team is doing now.

but dont preech about not being classy when people over here that didnt even attend the game cosign for others and brings up our past record and "player taunting" to put us down. Talk about classy!
