Bears fan's Cliff notes perspective of "THE GAME"
From the PackersHome board comes a truncated Prediction / Survey of the game.
I could care less who wins this game. Having said this here is what I think happens
Over/Under.....I see 51 as the number - OVER
Peterson 125 rushing.....I see Purple Jesus @ 144 yds Rush / 2TDS / - OVER
Allen 5 sacks.....TWO SACKS - under
Favre 200 passing I see 21 of 30 / 258 YDS / 2 TDS / 2 int - OVER
Because of the excessive hump dome noise levels, combined with Green Bays propensity for O-Line penalties, I like Minny to eek out a close win
Packers 27
Vikings
31

Most of your scenario looks pretty realistic to me.
Although whoever thinks Allen by himself is going to get 5 sacks must have some pretty thick purple shades on.
Definitely safe to go under there.

Re: Bears fan's Cliff notes perspective of "THE GAME"
I don't see Peterson going for around a buck 50 that game.. I see a productive game but not that well
Favre stats could be about right
Allen.. nah.. He is just starting to pick it up and has never had a 5 sack game if I recall correctly
Score.. I see it about that tho!

I like that number but 2 sacks are tough to get, but JA is capable.
I think AD will have a huge game vs. the 3-4 D, but I don't see Farve throwing 2 TDs and 2 Picks.
Maybe one of each.
I like your final score though as both teams are going to look to throw the ball more in this one IMO.
I just hope we keep givin AD the rock because I love him against 3-4's, especially ones that are in transition."There are 3 things that sell in America:
Violence, sex, and drugs.
The only way you are going to make this game more appealing to the public than it was before is if there are on field orgies at halftime and the domes become massive opium dens."

Re: Bears fan's Cliff notes perspective of "THE GAME"
Just to prove it is not all TOTAL smack from yours truly during this week.
This was my reply to the Grizz and his prediction:
Not a bad analysis at all, Grizz.
I would go sicker on the over of AD...plus that damn CT has our number as well.
Jared Allen. Key to the game, imo
If he is getting through, (and co.) we are dead meat, mostly, but hope for some big plays (doable against them, imo)
Favre over-- I agree also...Will hope for some bad Brett interceptions here. Also very likely, imo.
IF it gets to that over on the points, I like our chances a whole lot more.
Packers 31
Vikings 27
Putting a homer spin on an excellent prediction.

That's almost unheard of.

Re: Bears fan's Cliff notes perspective of "THE GAME"
No guys..
Someone at the PackerHome forum had given the lines as follows:
AP rushing yards, 150
Allen sacks, 5
Favre passing, 200 yards
The reason they put the line so high for Allen was because they are pretty upset with their offensive line play. (Odom getting 5 sacks for the Bungles?)Vegans are eating the rainforests. =(

I predict it to be a little more Peterson and under on the Favre prediction.
Allen won't get 5 sacks, but the team as a whole should.
I'm hoping you don't run another punt back for 6. But it cetainly is a possibility.
Since I'm bold enough to predict Peterson will have greater than 200 yds. rushing, I predict.......
Vikings
34

Re: Bears fan's Cliff notes perspective of "THE GAME"
I see All Day having a great day.
Steven Jackson had a good day behind a horrible o-line and Cedric Benson racked up some very nice yardage.
Matt Forte didn't get the numbers because the Bears abandoned the run very early and looking back for them that was a very big mistake.
Had they ran the ball or set up screen plays that would have given time for Cutler to settle down and show up like he did in the second half.
Cutler looked good in both games since then.
Brett will not have to carry this team like he did against the 49ers because ST will show up again as the Pack ST has some serious problems.
If he does take a shot or three downfield who is the safety going to be Brandon Chillar?!?! as they try to contain AD.
Woodson has shown that he has lost a step as he got torched by Knox and Palmer was able to pick them apart with OchoCinco and Chris Henry.
They may try to pick on the safties a bit in this game.
Jared Allen will get home more than two times as well.
He will be the best DE that that line will have since thus far in the season hopefully they move him around so he can add even more pressure on Rodgers.
