    Re: Apology from Carolina

After the game, Vikings players said, it just happens. If you are Gamble's size and Daunte, who is 270 is running downfield, you can't tackle him high if you weigh 190 or whatever. the Vikings players said that. Gamble hit low because he thought it would not work to tackle high. It would be like trying to tackle Jerome Bettis high. It just won't work. Daunte has "shrugged off" linebackers.

Re Gamble, I mean, he said he "prayed" that Daunte would not be hurt. I have to take the man at his word, and say, ok.

Re the Carolina fan who originally posted. Thanks. I appreciate it. It shows that you guys have class to come on here and post on that.

    Re: Apology from Carolina

I hated to see Daunte get hurt, however he plays a game for a living, a living that allows him to make millions of dollars. I am not saying that it a very clean hit, unfortunately that is the nature of the beast. I miss C-Pep as much as the next fan, but I do not believe it was intentional, had it been a divisional game and a team that Daunte has lit up a dozen times I could see the anger. IMO it was a low hit, but not intentional, but who knows I am not Chris gamble!

And I also would like to thank the Carolina fan for his respect it is much appreciated and respected!

    Cheers!
