Re: Zygi's nepotism raises eyebrows
I based my statement, on Statements made by Wilf himself...
He wants this to be a future venture for him and his heirs.....So with that in mind, he is approaching this in a good way....
Red was in it stricktly for profit, I don't see Wilf doing the same at this time...
Yes you are correct with your take V-unit, but I believe Wilf has good intensions and he will lead us to Valhalla...

Re: Zygi's nepotism raises eyebrows
I think the offices that the Wilf family holds are more of the "financial" end of the business of the team. He has said that he will not make any moves on the "football" side of the team until he has had a chance to evalute them. That means at least part way if not all the way through the season. I do expect some changes in football personnel after the season but I don't look for the wilf family to appoint themselves into these position.
As others have said, you don't spend $600 million on a hobby. This is a money making venture for them. Look at old Red, he walked qway with $80 million a year in his pocket from the Vikings not counting the sale profits. There is big money to be made and big money to be spent and I'm sure Wilf, like any good businessman, is going to watch the $$$$$$ very carefully. Each oen of these guys has a stake in the business side of the team.Kentucky Vikes Fan

When you require nothing, you get nothing; when you expect nothing, you will find nothing; when you embrace nothing, all you will have is nothing.

The Meathead says that S Corey Chavous and CB Brian Williams will both be in training camp "with their heads on straight." (Coming from a guy with two bolts in his own neck, we figure he knows what he's talking about). Compliments of Mike Florio
