There is a lot more to the game than just tackling. You said yourself Childress was out coached. Our offensive play calling is also a big reason why we are not scoring points.Singer, I didn't see Childress out there making any tackles.
I think you are smart enough to get my point on Childress.
There also wasn't a lot of other guys out there making tackles either!

Re: You're Brad Childress...what's your fix?
Our offense has some major issues, I think we were out coached because of what the NE game plan was.
It would be nice to see an offensive explosion the next few games.

Re: You're Brad Childress...what's your fix?
We need to fix the offense in the following areas:
Offense
a.
Start with a balance offense (60 Run/40 Pass) or vice versa depending on other teams weakness.
Childress needs to get a little more creative/agressive with his play calling.
Even my 16 year old son can just about predict what they will call.
b.
Quit checking down 90 percent of the passing plays.
Teams only have to defend 20 yards of the field because we can't/won't stretch the field.
c.
Move the pocket once in a while.
I know Brad is slow, but he can still roll out.
Defense
a.
If they are gonna blitz, blitz with more than 1.
5 on 5 can be picked up.
b.
Throw in a couple of delayed blitzers
c.
Put a late hit on the QB as soon as you can.
Take the 15 yards but put a hurting on him so he is a bit gunshy
;D
Overall I am pretty happy with the team this year.
Can't say it enough that we are doing better than most "Gurus" said we were going to do.
I still think we will make the playoffs this year but we will be a one and out team.
Offense just isn't getting it done nor will it with the current players we have.
Hopefully we will draft wisely again next year and things will continue to get better.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Re: You're Brad Childress...what's your fix?
If i was Brad:
Offensive:
Run the balll in 2
RB sets:
A
Taylor to go
up the midle or off tackle
B.
Memo
for sweeps
and end arounds
Put in Tjack if Tjack still not Ready Put in brooks
reasons:
Need a Qb with mobility
They can throw deep more then 3 times
a game
You cna roll out left
or right
With more deep
passes tehy cvant put
7 or 8 in the box to stuff the run.
I said from the beging of the seaon maybe not on here but teams are going to
load up the box and make us e beat them in the air with out
the deep ball
and check down passing
were going to lose.
Actual have the OC
Call the damn balls and mix up the plays, i
was makign money predicting the next play.
If its 3rd and 7 and we pass for 5 yrds,
go for it on 4th down, conside r we wrre averign soemthign liek
3
yards a play turn it from 3 play
down to 4
Defnse:
Learn how to play cover 2.
What i seen loked liek my middle skools tm
trying
to imatate the zone and we we only won 1 that yr.
Jam the wide recivers at the lien tio mess up the timing.
Pass rush r blitz with
more then 1 guy.
Use Stunts, and delayed blitz
Specail Teams:
Nothign for return teams
Kicking, on punts learn hwo to tackle several tiem si seen them hit the guy but not wrap them up,
when you do that your giving them better postion

Re: You're Brad Childress...what's your fix?
Offensively:
* COMMIT to the run.
Every game.
* Make better use of my TEs in the passing attack.
* Keep all 3 QBs on the active roster so that, in situations such as Monday night, it
might be possible to get Tarvaris some PT w/out the first two going down to injury.
Defensively:
* Play Greg Blue and Ced Griffen more
The Seattle stomping made a lot of fans think the Vikes were better than they are.
And the New England massacre is going to make a lot of fans think the Vikes are worse than they are.
Here's what they are:
A solid 9-7 team which has the opportunity to be a little better or a little worse.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!
