Your fondest memory as a Viking Fan.

Just something positive instead of all the negativity.
Here are some of my favourite moments since 1988 when my blood turned purple.(in no particular order)

    1. The game when Hershel Walker lost his shoe vs the Pack
    (Trade sucked balls)
    2. The Monday Night Game vs the Bengals (Where the dl recorded their 71st sack of the season
    - 1 short of the all time record in a season)
That put us in the playoffs and knocked out the Boomer's Bengals
    3. Randy's dominance over the Pack on Monday night in 98'
    4. The entire 98 season (first time during a season i was never nervous - i knew they were gonna win before each game.
That bastard Anderson - I was at the Metrodome for that game)
    5. Jim McMans (Spelling) upset of the Giants in the Playoffs
    6. Randy Moss mooning the Packers
    7. Last years game vs Seattle (which i attended)
I was on a natural high for a while especially when Chester broke that run
    8. Cris Carters TD catch on Sunday night (Think it put in second all time in RCV TD)
    9. That crazy game against the Bears where we scored 21 unanswered points and Ditka blew a gasket

Just a few i could think of in like 10 minutes.
    Just bored at work.

    1. The Brad Johnson to Brad Johnson TD pass in 1997
    2. Randy Torching the Pack in 1998
    3. When we won the Superbowl in 2008.

Re: Your fondest memory as a Viking Fan.

    Way to many to mention.

First and foremost would be (and its a little wierd) watching my son deal with the ups and downs of a lossing season (last year).
He is a fan of the team for sure.

First game I ever saw with my son live .
Last year Wash vs Vikes at RFK. A win and the 9/11 tribute was awesome.

First game I ever saw live.
Bucs vs Vikes in the late 80's in Tampa. Doleman interception

First game I ever saw at the Dome.
    Bronco's vs Vikes.
Moss Toss was part of that memory.
    (Note:
Wildwoman has been to all 3 games with me)

Just watching Joey Browner work the middle.
    He could lay some lumber.

    Just watching CC play.
Man that guy could work a sideline.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Had to be the game at Denver in 99.
I can remember it like it was yesterday.
Oct 31st, gorgeous day, a lot full of purple tailgaters, and we came back to win.

The thing that really stands out in my mind was 1969, two days after Christmas. The Vikes were losing to the Rams at Met Stadium. I remember Joe Kapp hurdling L.A. cornerback Jim Nettles at the two yard line for a TD. The Vikings went on to win and played the Cleveland Browns, winning 27-7 to go to the Super Bowl. It was the last NFL Championship game ever played.

And there was also this wonderful moment in 2005.
Had nothing to do with the Vikings, but was awesome none-the-less... ;D

Re: Your fondest memory as a Viking Fan.

    Ah such a list
Watching Moss torch the Pack on his MNF debut in '98. I was watching live here in the UK at 2:00am with Mrs Anglo asleep upstairs... ever tried celebrating and jumping about without making any noise?

The opening day game in '99 against Atlanta in the Georgia Dome with Mrs Anglo - Her first game and she gets to see them win - revenge for the NFCC game.

Going to my first ever game at the Metrodome in 2000 after Mrs Anglo suggested we make the trip. I nearly fell off the chair when she first mentioned doing that ... damn I love that woman. When we walked to the Dome on gameday and saw all that purple about everywhere, it just felt like I'd come home.

Doing a double header trip in 2002 to see the Giants and then Packers at the Dome. Everyone was on a downer after the Giants game but it was pure joy seeing Favre and all the puker fans had faces liked smacked arses after they got beaten... ;D

Here's to many more golden memories and the hope that I get to see at least one NFC Championship game, especially with the Vikes winning, in my lifetime - that would be my SuperBowl for sure.
Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

I loved watching the 98 season, most of it.
    watching chris carter play
wish i was around to see the good old boys(page, marshal, eller, larsen)
    that would have been great
