Re: Are you planning on being a season ticket owner in 2007?

    Is there a "maybe" option?
I was a first-time season ticket holder this year, so I'm a little bitter, heh.
That, and it gets costly to travel from college to the Dome (two and a half hours, so gas and food...).
but who knows, I might buy again.
It's easy to say no now, but after free agency and the draft, there might be so much hope....
PM me if you'd like a sig.

I'm thinking of buying season tickets for the first time this year. Anyone got an idea where I would likely end up?

We've used All Season Tours for all our trips to the Dome and have never had any complaints.
I see this year that they were tickets only which were in the upper levels, all the packages are for hotel and lower level tickets.

    Depends on where you sit.
Here is the seating chart with prices:
    http://www.vikings.com/DAM_public/4740.swf

Additionally, there are some restricted visibility tickets (upper lever, top couple of rows, behind one of the pillars) that go for $99 for the entire season.
These are a good way to get a foot in the door with tickets if you don't have the $$.
These are also the ones you need to watch out for on ebay.

My tickets are in section 224, in the $490 per seat range, but I have a feeling that if I request an upgrade this year I may move into the $710 per seat range (ouch!)
Don't worry about it. If your request an up grade, you still are giving the choice of where that uprade is,. They'll ask if you want to stay in the $49 bracket & will still find you the best upgrade they can, based on the number of season tix you buy.

Your more apt to get a better upgrade if you have 2 season tix than if you have 4.

Re: Are you planning on being a season ticket owner in 2007?

No, I won't be renewing my season tix this year.

It has nothing to do with my love for the Vikings & I still plan on going to every home game.

I've had them for two years now & this past year, I bought 2 & 1/2 more sason tix sets. Two from eBay & 1/2 of a season from a friend. I did it to ensure getting more Vikings-Packers tix & to sell the rest to either PP.O members at my cost or less or on eBay.

I also like to upgrade, looking for better sets at face value or less & then selling my original seats.

I hoped to at least break even or at least have it pay for my upgrades, but this year was atrocious as far as ticket sales went. I lost over $2,400 on an $8,8000 investment on eBay & that was not taking into account the eBay fees.

Other than the Bears & Packers games, tickets sold anywhere from 1/3 to 3/4 of face value for the majority of the sales I had, with only a few that were closer to face value.

My priority this year is to get to the Philippines & I thought last years sales would help, but it ended up putting me way behind my goal instead. Buying the extra tickets last year seriously jepordized that goal & I'm not going to take that risk this year.

Getting her back to the U.S. ASAP is my main priority this year & I cannot do that if I once again renew my tickets next month.

With the tickets selling below face value last year, I'm taking my chances on getting them on eBay this coming season for less than what renewing my season tickets would cost & the odds are heavy in my favor.

Plus, I won't have to pay face value for any of the pre-season games, which via season ticket renewal, you do.

The first 3 or 4 years that I attended every home game, eBay was the way I went & I always did quite good that way.

The only way I'll renew them this year is if I can sell them at my cost to someone else.

You would be in the upper level, probably in row 20 or higher.
My first year I was in row 27... and there are only 30 rows in the upper level!

This year should be better for new holders as I expect sales to be down quite a bit.

Given the circumstances, I don't blame you Singer.
You've been (and still are) amazingly generous to the members of PP.O... so if you have problems getting your hands on tickets for a game this coming season I am sure any one of us would be willing to help you out.

    I'm too far away.
If i'm still in the states next year I'll go to one road game for sure and probably a home game.
