You don't...recover from tearing all three knee ligaments
Pray for Daunte, for real
Because you just don't recover from that. He may never, ever be the same.
And that would indeed be tragic for this franchise.
My question is: Will he start for us next season? Do you want him to?

Re: You don't...recover from tearing all three knee ligament
McGahee's injury was similar.
Involving the ACL, PCL, MCL.
It took me less than a minute to find it. I haven't seen anyone else look for it so I did it. Here it is.
He has hope, if he has the will.

McGahee had to be helped off the field. He wouldn't return, and the 'Canes would lose in double overtime. The result: three ailing ligaments in his knee. His PCL (posterior cruciate ligament) and MCL (medial collateral ligament) needed repair, and his ACL (anterior cruciate ligament) -- the three letters that make every NFL running back cringe -- needed reconstruction.

Re: You don't...recover from tearing all three knee ligaments
This is an injury that effects Daunte a lot more than it would a pocket passer QB. Daunte rely's on his mobility to help us win games and I can only hope that he recovers fully from this injury, even if that means taking longer than just this season. If he rushes back in and tries to play like he normally does, especially with his heavy 260 lb frame, he could injure himself to the point of ending his career prematurely. I wish Daunte all the best and I wish i could've gotten to see him play on X-mas day against Baltimore. In the meantime, we need to be looking at adding depth to our QB position.

Re: You don't...recover from tearing all three knee ligaments
Has anyone heard any reports that this may be career threatening????
I haven't seen many go that far or even attempt to say that.

I haven't heard any reports saying career threatening but I've heard that analysts saying it could be "career altering"

Re: You don't...recover from tearing all three knee ligaments
I have heard othing about career threatening, and he definitely will be placed under the best doctors in the world to get this thing rehabbed. I think that D.C. will be the starter next year, but he needs to take some time to clear his head, work his knee and get ready for bigger and better things to come. If he comes back pressing it can lead to terrbile play and even worse ... another injury. While I am not a religious man, somehow, I still find myself praying for Daunte's happy and healthy return.

Who would have thought a year ago that we will have a team without Culpepper, Moss and Birk. What a strange season. All my prayers are with Dante.
Halo 4. Start another fight.

You think if we continue this horrible path that maybe the Vikes would look for a QB in the draft? I hope we don't trade for Rivers.
