Re: Yahoo Sports "Lock of the Week"

I know people want to be "wary" and want the team to be focused (of course), but all that said ... this game is an absolute lock. We are going to dominate from start to finish and the Bears will give up on the game by the half-way point of the third quarter.

    I don't think so.
I googled vikings bears lock week and this thread is no. 1, followed by old stories.

In my mind this week is less of a lock than the San Fran game.
    Divisional games are usually competitive.

    Lock of the Week

Minnesota over Chicago. This could be a considered a trap game for the Vikings against a division rival who will pull out all the stops in an attempt to play spoiler, but again, it comes down to line play, which never goes into slumps. The Vikings are a dangerous potential wild-card team because of the "run and stop the run" formula, and they deserve this chance to show how good they are in prime time. The Metrodome will be rocking on Monday night, and the Bears will have Kyle Orton leading them in there.

The Bears' defensive line continues to be a mess, and the Vikings' offensive line will overpower them, just like they did in Chicago earlier this season, when Adrian Peterson (the rookie Viking) ran for big chunks of yardage at will. On the other side, the Bears' front five has struggled equally with run blocking and pass protection, and the push against Orton will lead to those typical Vikings takeaways

I don't think there has ever been a solid lock in the NFCN or NFCC.....wait, maybe when teams have played the Lions for a few years now.

Links need to be posted along with every article or section of an article that's posted. Otherwise the write can claim you stole his work & are passing it off as your own.

But in this case, where the writer claims a 10 point favorite game is more of a lock than a 23.5 point favorite game, he'd be an idiot to claim credit for it.

Divisional game on Prime Time TV against a team that would love to act as a spoiler?
no way would I consider this to be a lock even given the way both teams have been playing.
It wasn't the Black N Blue division for no reason - expect a hard and tough game
