    "Ya know"

Anyone notice how many times AD says "ya know" in all of his interviews/press conferences? It's almost hard to watch or listen to at times. Ya, he's an amazing football player, but I think some speech classes wouldn't hurt him....

Just posted today. Had to have said it at least 50 times in this one press conference...

    Just throwing it out there

I'm not sure why this is here other than to point out a personal pet peeve, but if the game ever breaks out into a debate then Chilly can pull him.

In college I lived with a very bubbly, perky Packer fan from Wisconsin who said "ya know" after everything. Drove me crazy. And she owned a Barbie purse that she always carried around.

At least AD is useful for something. She was only good for insulting on Sundays.

As for AP: It's just something that happens, ya know!

Preface: He was great as a player, and helped my fav. team win a world championship.

however, you'd have to wonder if Dan Gladden suffers from the same syndrome.

all he does, is say "Fairly", "kinda" and "a little bit".

    I counted 36 times.

Probably wouldn't have noticed had you not pointed it out.

He was probably told not to say "uh" or "um" when he was in high school talking to reporters and replaced it with "ya know" to collect his thoughts.

I thought the same thing. But I would think "ya know" is almost a worse replacement to gather thoughts. A pause would be better. Maybe I'm just really weird, but It's seriously hard for me to watch press conferences with him.

    He knows how to run.

    That's about it.

Don't expect so much.....talking is not his job.

    Re: "Ya know"

So what? He fumbles with his words too. It's not like every other human being doesn't say "You know?" It's a filler, just like umm and uhh. Just listen to Favre's press conferences, he says umm, uhh, and he stutters a lot as well. So, cut AD some slack. He's not the only one who says "You know" or "Umm, uhh"
