Re: Wouldn't this guy continue to look good in Purple and Gold next season?

Personally at safety, I like the other Griffin from Texas, any relation?
And Brandon Merriweather from Miami, I'd take Merriweather over the others due to the fact that Miami Safeties tend to live up to their hype and play great at the professional level, i.e. Ed Reed, Sean Taylor, Mike Rumph, and I think maybe one or two more.

Interesting idea...but I thought we were pretty set in at the safety position.
A year ago I'm sure most of us thought we were pretty well set at the QB postion.
The year before that we looked stacked at the WR position.
Who knows who we'll need at the end of the year?

Johnson is an MLB, Merriman is an OLB...we NEED a solid MLB...Johnson is that man!

Thats a very good point you make about Miami.I think that in terms of the future, we're not set at the Saftey position.I think depending on how our season goes, we get a FS with our pick in the 2007 draft.

Theres NOTHING greater then a Florida Gator!

without worrying about what's gonna happen this year i think saftey is a good choice for us to collect for the future. esp if we can get sharper for a year more he'll be able to guide and mold someone into a ball hawking solid player.
