Worthless historical Vikings stats-W/L home vs road.
I was sitting around wondering how the various coaches of the Vikings did during their tenure regarding their W/L records at home and away and how that related to their playoff appearances, but, I didn’t feel like looking for relationships, so, here the information is for some nerd that wants to play around with it.
This information was weaseled from pfr.com.

Bud is a god to Vikings fans.
He racked up a winning record at home and away over the course of his career as head coach, but, unfortunately, never won the Super Bowl.

See above.
One year prodigy as head coach for the Vikings, although, he does have a more extensive coaching career than some give him credit for.
I have yet to see someone wearing a Steckel jersey around.

I was never a fan of Jerry Burns, AKA Rat Face.
He had a tough time winning on the road.
If I would have been posting on pp.o at that time I probably would have had CCthebest syndrome and hated him from day one without any justification other than looking for any and every flaw found on the team and putting it all on his shoulders.

On paper Denny Green looks like a hero, well, paper that is not being used for his pathetic attempt at writing anyway.
He fielded decent teams and choked when the pressure was on.
0-41? Atlanta?
What a head case.

Another coach that cannot win consistently on the road and another coach that choked when games mattered.
Arizona?
Too many to mention.

There are not many fans signing up for his fan club right now.
The verdict will be out on him within the next couple years.
This season has barely started and some people are writing him off after two losses on the road by 3 pts each.
Insanity.
The Vikings started off the season at 1-2 in 1989 and in 1999 and still made it to the playoffs.

Re: Worthless historical Vikings stats-W/L home vs road.
It was fun to see how consistent Bud was over his reign and I was surprised that Denny had almost a 0.500 record on the road, I thought it was worse than that.

I was just a kid, but we thought the Vikings could win the super bowl every year.
It was exciting, from grade school through high school we talked about the Vikings all week in school.
