Re: Wk 1. Redskins.
i dont think there will be too much to worry about witht he skins, the way our defense has played, brunnell might not be in there long and as it appears, portis will not be playing, i just hope our running game improves alot and if it does, we will win

Re: Wk 1. Redskins.
On the Portis note, actually he will.
I AM concerned about Brunell however. Your pass rush has been looking great, even though I feel confident in the Skins ability to plan for it. They played againast tougher rushes last year and faired OK. If Brunell takes the tiniest shot, he's like, "OW! My girl parts!" and then plays like crap the rest of the game/season.

i agree with you on greenway, i am from iowa and as much a hawkeye fan as i am viking and i was so excited to see greenway go them and he gets hurt, but right now i dont think there is too much of a worry with our linebackers we have, henderson and harris are playing really good, this is their style of football, barring any injuries, we will be fine with linebackers...

Well, I'll agree to disagree there. Just dropping by to see what all the chest-pounding was about. I'll check in after the game.

I'm guessing Gibbs may be a bit more concerned with the defensive line than the left side of the offense.
To give credit where it's due, the Vikings has one of the better left line sides in the game. That is a concerning factor to me.
The O-line is too new to this system and to each other to dominate a game early in the season, especially with the run. The D-line, however, is a different story.
This game is going to be a challenge for both teams.
Its silly to give too much weight to these preseason games--what part of the offensive is Gibbs showing, 2% or something like that?
The same can be said, I'm sure,
for Childress.
In the end, though,
I expect the vikes will grind out a win, and Chester will suprise some people as a receiver early in the season--he's much, much better than we've seen to date."When you have fear, bad things happen."
